Slime mold?

Is this slime mold? It wasn't there 12 hours ago. I noticed it when I took a work break to stare at the isopods and one of them was (maybe) munching on it. It's a bit more yellow than the photo shows. Bonus photo of one of my cute little weirdos as the one on the mold(?) fled my presence.

Yard drainage.

Searched and didn't see anything recent but please direct me to any other threads if I've missed one!

We have some worsening water standing beside our front walkway and at the back of our house. The back is actually up against the house in a few places.

While I'm big on DIY, I'm not sure I can take on something like this myself. There are French drains around the entire house but I'm assuming they are clogged or something.

Any recommendations on who can help here? We'd likely need someone who can do financing.

Or does anyone suggest trying to deal with it ourselves? We wanted a dry creek back along the side of the front walkway to deal with that. And I wouldn't be opposed to one along the back. We have a temp solution in the front for now.

Pictures are of the back of the house today. Imo it looks worse in person. Lol.

Having a rough day and just need some solidarity.

I went no contact with my mom just under a year ago.

Long story as short as possible: my husband and I went on vacation and to a wedding. Our daughter was 16-17 months old at the time and we weren't ready to put her on a plane and take her with us yet. Both sets of grandparents (my parents and husbands parents) worked out an arrangement where she was with my parents (still 4 hours from our home) the entire week, with them meeting husbands parents on Saturday. She would stay with them and we'd pick her up on our drive home from the airport, his parents live less than 10 mins from our house. This made it easier on everyone involved with the amount of driving required between our town, the airport (2 hours away) and my parents.

That Friday night, we are at the wedding. Both sets of parents know this and knew what time it was, etc. Husbands mom calls upset, sends him a screenshot of an incredibly inappropriate and nasty text back from my mom. I'm instantly pissed that we're being involved in this while trying to watch our friends 1st dance. I go out, call my mom, and ask "what is going on?" she starts yelling at me about husband's family. I ask her for screenshots of the texts she's claiming she's been sent. She screams at me that she's done with me, I'm out of her will and life, and my brother is their only child now. I have a panic attack and immediately think 'will she do something to my baby.' all said and done, my dad was there and had the baby, he took her to meet my husband's parents Saturday, etc.

I explained to him that I am done. My mom texted me several nasty messages throughout Friday night and Saturday. I sent my dad screenshots while explaining to him. Included discussion on her taking shots at my husband and his family.

For some background context, my mother and I have had a volatile relationship since my last couple years in high school (I am now 33), we have had several periods of 6-12 months no contact at a time, initiated by me due to incidents including but not limited to:

-forging my signature on a financial aid refund from my college and attempting to deposit it.

-threatening to report the car I was driving as stolen (it was in my dad's name still, this forced me into buying the car from him earlier than planned and for more than planned)

-multiple instances of telling me she wished she'd never had me/I ruined her life/etc.

-her hostility towards my dad's family

I was hesitant to let them have my kid for the week but husband and I decided to give them a chance. Maybe it would be okay. And my mom had been "we'll-behaved" since the baby was conceived. We thought she was at least trying to be a decent grandparent.

After this incident, I stayed low contact with my dad. I love my dad. I want him to be a grandpa and in my kids life. But he enables my mom and allows her to be awful. He's been married to her 30 years or so and has allowed her to ruin his relationship with his parents and siblings.

Fast forward. Mother's day. She and my dad call from his phone. I was doing mom things and didn't answer. They leave a voicemail. I got the attached text from my dad and responded as such.

Honestly I'm just here venting it out so I can hopefully focus on work. And maybe if anyone can tell me what to do. I think I need an outside person to tell me I'm not crazy or overreacting or that it's okay to be done.

I really don't want to cut my dad out but guys I'm so tired and sad. I have talked to him about how I just wanna be done. He calls my brother and tries to drag him into it or get information out of him.

I don't wanna keep dealing with this drama. I don't want my mom back because I know she's not truly gonna change. She didn't even apologize in the voicemail yesterday. I don't want to explain to my dad again and again why I feel this way and don't want her negativity and hatred (she's also very hateful when it comes to politics, coworkers, neighbors, opposing hockey teams, literally everything) around me or my family. I don't want my husband to have to deal with her after the things she said about him and his family.

I think I have to give up on my dad and it feels awful.

I guess also let me know if this should've been in a different group. I consider myself estranged from my mom and probably on the way there with dad.
