I'm making a movie inspired by classic American 60/70s crime/action movie/films
Breakdown of the story-
Detective John Carter is a New York police officer but his Senior office Lieutenant Delgetti wants him to go undercover for the criminal group heading to Miami. Carter gets information about Diego and his criminal group through his informant Tico, Tico said Diego needs a car so Carter has to do his driving skills in order to impress Diego, later Diego saw carter potential and decided not to transfer him to Miami but stays in san francisco instead. Diego said their original plan to Carter of bringing down a mafia drug lord Frank Columbo. Carter gets information about rufus from tico that he works for Columbo. Carter impressed Rufus and got an invitation from him in a restaurant, Rufus gave Carter a job about becoming a guardian angel to 'his friend' La Pons, La Pons is the most prominent Person to Columbo so carter has a high responsibility and a chance to investigate further. Diego said to carter that they are planning an assassination on politicians and business man Bennett. When the day comes of carter to meet Columbo face to face he discovers that his old-now rival Bill works for Columbo, now this gave a chance on carter to take revenge on bill as he might expose him as a police officer to Columbo so he arrested bill and get police to Columbo compound which Columbo makes suspect on carter for their old rivalry and Alfred personal suspicion while Rufus is running towards the safe side as he joined carter to the gang. In the meantime a police undercover named Ellie Brown mistakenly takes Carter as a member of the criminal work for columbo but carter said her and his plan which he was trying to take Columbo down .A new member has just joined, his name was Jesse and he was also a police officer working with carter in the past as a junior now he is undercover carter later referred to this but Jesse warned him about Delgetti wouldn't like carter absence in miami carter said not to worry as he can handle Delgetti some times later that night a car took out La Pons with the rush him to hospital Columbo said to carter what happened at the spot to which carter replied who are those that are behind La Pons as he got ambush not once but twice with lacks of answer Columbo give death threat to carter for being irresponsible. With the death of La Pons Diego had to expect carter to bring down Columbo and not to execute his plan. A few days later carter got a phone call from an unknown voice telling him to come at the alley of a restaurant which was an ambush by Alfred because he at that time knew carter was the one who failed their plan and by using some police information about carter. carter managed to kill Alfred and when police rescue carter, Delgetti arrived at the scene in which he thanked carter for his work and promoted him to Lieutenant rank but Carter refused to take the badge as some law might be involved in this. In the end carter and his female friend Ellie goes on vacation in miami with the end of this story
