Reviews of top 10 rupees black ball pens

My observations after using multiple 10/20 rupees ball pens

Pentonic BRT- Good but has tonnes of ink blobbing and back impression issue

Uniball MFB- Great pen but availability of refills is question mark

Hauser XO- Dark pen, somewhat ok, quality is hit or miss, the position of holding pen, that groove is horrible.

Linc glycer- Very sharp, good pen but have to put pressure while writing. The pen holding position is awesome.

Cello gripper. Exceptionally sharp, takes a while to get smoother, slightly lighter as compared to others. This is new stock manufactured by cello in May 2026. Overall good pen

Linc pentonic normal ball pen: Very good holding position, very smooth, nice dark ink , doesnt bleed. This has been favourite as of now.

Would love to know your views and experiences as well. Thanks in advance.

Inconsistent quality of trimax refills

Has anyone experienced this problem?

I'm talking about the new Reynolds trimax refills ha.

Those are being produced at Reynolds factory in Chennai.

Some refills are simply too good. Some are rough as hell. Some are neither smooth not rough.

I don't know why can't they maintain quality. It's not cheap. One refill costs ₹25. Which is almost 4-5 times expensive than normal gel/ ball refill.

I have experience it multiple times. I have multiple boxes of refills produced at different points of time.

I know flair Reynolds trimax refills were shit as well.

But even in Reynolds factory things have not improved much.

Has anyone experienced it?

Any specific reasons for this inconsistency?

Feel free to share your views guys.

Gel pens vs ball pens vs roller balls for exams

Hi guys

I want a pen which is good for cursive writing in exams, the pen must not bleed on paper . Please note the we have to atleast write 25-30 pages during those 3 hours.

I don't mind carrying extra pens or refills.

Which is better?

My shortlisted options

Trimax/ lx max for roller ball

Flymax gel for gel

Linc glycer/ cello gripper

Please guide

Thanks in advance

Is linc glycer 0 6 mm ball pen a good pen for long writing in exams?

Wanted to know if linc glycer black ball pen is good for smooth long writing? I heard it's good and writes sharp. The reason I'm contemplating it is because it's good to hold and is sharp.

I have been a long trimax loyalist. The reason to switch is because the exam answersheet quality is not consistent and there are instances of ink bleeding when I put alphabet I and full stop.

So was wanting to switch to a ball pen.

Please give your suggestions.

Thanks in advance

Why are pen manufacturers skipping or not providing with refills

I have observed so many manufaurers like doms, linc, flair/ hauser who realease pens like every month.

It is important that a person who buys the pen should get refill support unless it's use and throw pen.

All these pen manufacturers speak of less plastic reusability blah blah.

But I think a student/ person should not be forced to replace a pen with a new pen. Atleast give the options to buy refills on website

I have observed as of now only rorito gives refills support on their website.

I hope other manufacturers start as well.

Guys please share your thoughts as well
