Does anyone know the history of this mural located at Broadmeadow station? It has the next game date board updated weekly depending on what game is next. I’d love to know when it was painted and if anyone has old photos of it? Is there anything else like it on the network?
On the back of a post last week - here is the water meter that Service Stream said required removal of concrete in order for them to change the meter to a smart meter.
How do I go about actually doing this? Ideally it’s minimal and lower risk work, as damaging the pipe would be the worst possible outcome.
Received this note in the letterbox. Apparently Service Stream can’t install a new water meter at my house due to the meter pipes being cast into concrete. The body of the meter is about 150mm above the concrete slab. And its pipes were probably cast in several decades ago based on how old the slab looks.
However - there is zero instruction on what to do. Has anyone been in this situation and know what to do next?
At first I was skeptical of the current mayor. Mostly that he was not a career diplomat and would lack certain qualifications. However, his ability to communicate and present an open, hospitable, and constructive Newcastle is admirable. I congratulate him on that.
What do you all think?
