I’ll be moving to San Diego in the summer and looking for a community to play casually with!
I’m new to warhammer and kind of all in on TOW at the moment though. I’ve seen a couple local game store recommendations in various other posts online, but they’re all in the context of 40k.
Not sure if this is the best place to ask but figured I would give it a shot!

I’m aware that stag lord or dragon lord are the primary meta pick for a general, but I bought Araloth mostly because he was plastic and therefore easier to paint.
He lacks any sort of customization but seems decent enough for his point cost.
Any tips for using him on the table? And units he complements more than others?

Basically just the title. I have no idea what to do when picking paints.
If it matters, I’m painting wood elves. I’d probably like to go with a relatively classic look, but I’d love to see if there are some good faction theme options or community themes etc.
Putting aside the movement issue with branchwraiths not getting the same movement as dryads;
If I want to embed one in a unit of dryads, does it need to have the same base size? Or does it not really matter?

for clarification, I put my dryads on 25mm bases, but the branch-wraith came with a 30mm base.
Did I make a mistake here?
I was looking on the games workshop website and they mostly only have 40k and AoS accessories (paint kits, bases, etc).
I can’t use dryads with round bases in my OW army right? Where does one acquire an extra set of square bases?
