Warhammer Armies Project post The Old World

I’m relatively familiar with 8th edition and have been interested in WAP for a while now. I haven’t had any experience with TOW, I was wondering how TOW has affected WAP after its release in terms of rules.

Old World Community/ies in Brisbane, Australia?

Hey, the game stores seem to be pretty focused on AoS and 40k - just wondering if there are Old World games going on around Brisbane with hobby-focused vibes?

Legacy Factions - Arcane Journals

Hey everyone!

For the past 2 months, I've been working on a series of Arcane Journals for the Legacy Armies in The Old World. Some of you have already seen early versions and provided a ton of valuable feedback, big thanks !

The goal isn't to rebalance or rewrite existing army profiles. The idea is to bring back what brought flavour to those factions in previous edition such as:

  • Army-specific customisation (Vampire Bloodlines, Slann Generations, Sacred Spawnings, Gnoblar pets, etc.)
  • Armies of Infamy based on what already existed in previous edition (Ex: Cult of Slaanesh for Dark Elves, Cult of Sotek for Lizardmen, 1 Legion of Death per Vampire Bloodline, Clan Eshin and many more)
  • Magic Items from previous editions adapted to TOW
  • Named Characters (2 per Arcane Journal, to stay in line with TOW)
  • And plenty of other thematic options, including a few creations to include elements from the universe (Warhammer Total War, The Age of Reckoning, etc)

I recently added customisation for Maneaters in order to play all the new models from the fantastic Ogre AOS release, including the possibility to take harpoon launchers for mournfang cavalry to represent the new maulbeast cavalry (no need to create new profiles, a few weapon options and customisation of existing profiles does the trick).

Everything has been playtested over the last two months, and the feedback has been very positive. The journals add variety and flavour without changing the power level of the armies or the current meta. It simply offers new customisation and doesn't change the balance.

They are fully compatible with balance projects such as the Renegade Pack, German Comp, or any other community balance pack.

Would be great to continue getting feedbacks to make them evolve for the best. Since it doesn't look like Legacy Armies will receive anything soon, I hope these can help fill that gap for players who still love these factions.

Any comments, criticism, playtest reports, or suggestions are more than welcome!

High Elves Battle March list

I have inherited flamespyre phoenix and eight silverhelms. Wasn't quite prepared to start yet another army in full, but battle march is the perfect excuse to flesh them out into something I can play with.

What would people recommend for a few additional core units for an effective force?

Learning to Play

Not sure if theres some megathread im missing for resources on learning to play, but I was wondering if there are any well known resources that can help me and my wife easily understand how to play.

We're getting into it with the new core box and tried to look into it ahead of time, but it seems a bit more complicated than we initially thought it would be. Any help would be appreciated, thanks yall!
