Why can't i leave a cold compress on all the time? (Sunburn)

I got a sunburn on random spots throughout my body (chest, shoulders, parts of stomach, calves, feet) and the only thing helping with pain is a cold wet towel. I saw online to only leave them on for 20 minutes but as soon as i take it off, it hurts again. Ibuprofen, Tylenol, aloe, and cold showers aren't helping. I've been moisturizing with cerave. I'm just curious if there's any consequences for leaving it on all day or when i sleep.

Can breakthrough bleeding be a full blown period?

I started the minipill in January and spotted for 3 days after 2 weeks of taking it. Not a big deal, it was manageable. Now it's August and I'm experiencing what seems like a full blown period. Cramps that meds can't resolve, a lot of blood, even blood clots. My gyn said that I wouldn't be getting a period on this pill, so it can't be a period right? It's day 2 and I even had the cramping happening before the blood came. I tried calling and messaging my doctor but she didn't pick up and I probably won't hear back until Monday at the earliest.

What is going on with my body right now 😭

This week has been crazy for me. My dog had passed away on Monday and on Tuesday I was really sick with a fever. After Tuesday I've had brown-red discharge, cramps, and it feels like I'm bleeding but I'm not. I started norethindrone in January originally on Jaimiess. I was told that symptoms would resolve after 3 months but mine didn't show up until after 3 months in May. My breasts have been constantly hurting since June as well which is a symptom I've never had before and after birth control until now. I don't think there's any pregnancy risk because I use condoms every time and haven't even had sex recently. I wasn't sure if my body is just feeling this way because I've been sick or grieving.

Update: So now I'm bleeding, it looks like a period but my doctor said I'm not supposed to get one so is it a period or breakthrough bleeding or something else? Have cramps too. My doctor isn't responding back to me.

Lost my beautiful girl yesterday

My childhood dog Riley from when i was 13 passed away yesterday. I drove 1 1/2 hours away to say goodbye before they put her down. She was fine Sunday night and then Monday morning she was urinating everywhere so my parents took her to the vet. After 20 minutes she collapsed and couldn't stand back up. They found a huge mass in her intestines. My parents called me to come over, and she was so excited when I walked in, she even tried standing up. She was supposed to come over this weekend. For some reason I woke up a minute before the phone call. For some reason, my husband didn't go into work that morning. For some reason, we had enough charge in our car and didn't need to stop to charge it on our way there. It was a terrible day, but good things happened too. If love could have saved her, she would have lived forever 🌈❤️‍🩹

Edit: thank you everyone for your kind messages and poems and stories about your goldens. I've been trying to respond to every one but the response is overwhelming! This is going to be a long road to recovering from the grief but I'm thankful I have support ❤️

Cramping and excess discharge on minipill?

I'm 7 months into taking norethindrone, and have been feeling cramps and having a lot of discharge recently. I sometimes take the pill an hour late (within the last week it was only 20 minutes late which was today) so idk if that's the reason. I usually get the cramps and discharge before i get a period but I'm not supposed to have a period on this pill. I'm taking a pregnancy test later but I'm expecting it to be negative so idk why else this is happening.

Edit: i took 2 pregnancy tests, the first one said negative but it had a line going through the negative in the opposite direction (i think it got messed up somehow), and the second was negative.

Looking for advice on a root canal

I had a crown done in January and it was one of the most painful things i experienced and it took me 4 months to recover from. In May i had my cleaning done and i brought up how my tooth still hurts and they took an X-ray and said it looked fine physically and now it's July and it still hurts when i eat, my teeth touch each other, and when my retainer is on. Because the X-ray was fine, the doctor said I don't need a root canal unless I want one. I'm sick of my tooth hurting all the time but I don't want to go through another half year long recovery and it still hurting afterwards :(

Is benecol safe to eat for the rest of my life?

My cholesterol was a little bit high when I started eating it, after a year it's the lowest it's been in years. I was wondering if there's cons/harmful effects if I keep eating it with normal cholesterol levels? Like fully replace butter for benecol.

My first SAS haul

I'm a casual b&bw shopper but i saw for SAS they brought back scents from my childhood so i had to buy (@b&bw keep them permanently). Really wanted pink chiffon but it sold out.

Why am i spotting 6 months later?

I've been on norethindrone since January, i take it within 3 hours every time, haven't had a period since December, and the last time i took a pregnancy test was a week ago just because I do it every month since i don't get a period anymore. But today I found brown discharge and am concerned about it. The only time I've had spotting was during the first week of taking norethindrone so now I'm concerned its happening now and need reassurance 😭

I (27f) started taking norethindrone at the end of January without complications until now. My breasts just started randomly hurting and burning for the last 2 weeks (which is a symptom I've never experienced during my period or had while taking other bc). I have a negative pregnancy test and a week before the pain i had a breast exam done during a physical and nothing was noted. I read that norethindrone side effects clear up after 3 months but I've been on it for 4 months and this side effect just started? Also to note I haven't had a heavy period in years and that my periods before norethindrone were just discharge (i was on simpesse)
