Anyone know how the Nevada city flock meeting went?

The Grass Valley Police Department announced on the evening of Tuesday, August 11 that they will "indefinitely suspend" the use of Flock Safety cameras and exercise their ability to cancel their contract with the company. The decision from GVPD comes based on the department conducting a comprehensive review of the cameras' automated license plate recognition (ALPR) technology and conversations with community members.
I've printed a number of parts with PLA and PETG for interface layer. All worked perfectly fine, now, all of a sudden, my PETG won't adhere to PLA prime tower and it turns into a hot mess.
Thoughts?
This is just a heads up (mostly for all the new printer owners out there).
IN GENERAL…the quality of third party filament as far as mechanical specs, is consistent these days, HOWEVER, what you will find is that the quality of pigment will be less vibrant and much less consistent in the cheaper brands.
So keep that in mind when buying the cheap stuff.
For example, I buy Kingroon. I can usually find it for around $8-10 per kilo in bulk. I buy grey. From one spool to the next, color inconsistency is obvious, however, I print and build models, so everything I print is primed and painted. Therefore I don’t care.
If that’s something you do, then the cheap stuff is great. If you are looking for consistency, either Bambu or the better grade third party stuff is for you. Some good stuff is brands like Sunlu, Esun, Prusament, Protopasta, 3Dfuel, polymaker, etc.
This is a PARTIAL list, others should chime in if you are compelled.
X2D. Thought I had everything dialed in, then, started to print a new project, and…
Fixed the right nozzle feed issue. Got a few prints completed.
Now, Nozzle offset calibration failed.
I did all the troubleshooting steps. Turn off and back on, check nozzles, try a forced calibration.
4 failures in a row.
Ticket created.
I am NOT loving my X2D 😞
I've done this enough times to know better. I've disassembled countless tool heads. But alas, I blew it...
I had a bad clog on my X2D. New material learning curve (Nylon PA6 with PC support). I've taken this unit apart before, but not down to disassembly of the extruder unit. I took my time, fixed the issue, put it all back together (3 times because that right nozzle alignment is a bitch for some reason). Ran a couple small prints. No issues.
Then the bigger prints. Weirdness. Infill not bonding, spongy walls. I know its not the filament, I had dried it well, ran different materials, something was amiss.
For grins, I watch the extruder assembly vid on wiki. Oh SH*T!!!
I don't remember seeing the pressure plate for the spring when I put it all back together!!!
I search, I LUCKILY find it, under the printer!
So, good news/bad news. I diagnosed the issue, I found the part. But now I have to take that B@STARD of a tool head apart AGAIN!
SIGH.
