How do we feel about pumice bowl for conures?

How do we feel about pumice bowl for conures?

Saw a video on Instagram displaying one of these. It seemed like an AI voiceover so ofc not trusting that source, so I decided to look it up and found only Amazon, Walmart, and Temu (who the hell buys products for their birds off TEMU??!!) so I don’t know how to feel about this now?

I have often seen my conure rubbing his beak on the cage after eating as if he’s trying to get the food off or maybe grind his beak?? So when I saw this I thought it would be perfect for him?! I don’t really want to buy from any of those sources ofc, but a regular pumice stone in his cage doesn’t work/he doesn’t pay mind to it so a bowl shaped pumice that he eats out of seems like it would work? Idk, I’m just trying to get advice/opinions before I do anything and thought this would be a good place for that. Thanks!!

Edit: after looking again, it seems like since it’s very porous, it probably would hold bacteria, no? Maybe not for water or fruits/veggies, but maybe for seeds/pellets?

berry parasite outbreak

now what the hale do i tell my conure now that there’s that parasite outbreak and im scared to give him his daily fruits and veggies????? literally so torn rn. i dont want him to get sick but its his fav time of day to get his snacks. can birds get the parasite??? ill eat them fr if it meant id get sick and he didnt 😭😭😭😭 i grow Some fruits and veggies but not enough to hold him over until this is figured out, i know there are ways to naturally disinfect fruits after buying them but i keep seeing that that wont even get rid of them/the eggs unless you fully cook them. this is INSANE man. what if i buy from local markets?? if they’re organic and homegrown they won’t have the risk would they? i usually try to only get organic from the store anyways bc it’s hard to hit up the farmers markets before they close cuz i work weird times but if they’d be safer than the ones at the store i will def make the time ,,,,,,AHHHHHHHHH

Chicks packed together

I don’t buy chicks, but I frequent this tractor supply near me often for gardening supplies. I saw the chicks they were selling. Am I overreacting, or is this kind of messed up? I don’t know how they are at other stores, but this just seems wrong with how packed they are and how they’re trampling on eachother. I just took this video and left but it just makes me so sad to see and I’m wondering if I should say something. I am new to all of this, so this is a genuine observation/question, I just want to know if this is common. Either way, no animal should have to live like this even if it’s temporary :/
