Fun update on Thereuonema tuberculata project (aka asian house centipede)
Will see if I can link the original post in the comments :)
There are ‘pedelings! I call this my party mix soil because there were once some tiny crickets living in there (they were born there at some point RIGHT before the centipedes, assuming they came from one that I used to feed the parents). There are also springtails which I fear may not be there much longer either.
Mom and dad are not in there with them. Their parents would just eat them, and I’d rather they didn’t.
Seeking a bit of advice for plings!
Hi guys! I have my dehaani plings separated into their own containers! I have holes poked at the top and also around the sides closer to the top.
I didn’t want to poke any holes closer to the soil level due to not wanting them to escape. Is this considered acceptable until they’re a little larger? They’re about an inch and a half long.
Time for drinkies
S. Polymorpha, a very big boy for his species! His name is Morpeko (confirmed male!)
Need opinions from the community :(
Hey guys! I’ve had a green anole for a few years. She lives in a large bioactive cube. I got her for $9 from a pet store when I didn’t know much better. She’s absolutely wild caught, without a doubt.
That being said, she lives with my family who continue to take care of her. They are also very experienced keeping reptiles. My apartment has a long walk-up, so when I moved, I was not able to carry the large bioactive terrarium up the stairs so we opted to send her up my mom’s elevator building.
I got this photo from my mom the other day. She looks VERY unwell. I am thankful to live in a big city where I can take this gal to the vet. My fear is, she is SO skittish and I’m so afraid that if the prognosis requires daily medication or hands-on treatment, that I could accidentally hurt her or upset her. Does anyone have experience on this front dealing with a sick itty bitty reptile?
She does get dusted insects, has heat and UVB, LED grow light for plants, a mister, hides, and an overhead heat source. Stopped eating a few days ago as per the family. Will post another photo of her from a month ago in the comments if I can.
Superglue activities
Unfortunately had to undo a little bit of his work while cleaning but managed to keep most of it intact! Glue is about a year old :)
Ladybug cousin? New York, NY
Could it be a VERY dark ladybug? I love bugs of all kinds but beetles are not my most familiar territory (except desert beetles, love ‘em). I put it back outside.
