Illinois Cannabis Hearing: Possession Limits, Drive-Thrus, and 2 A.M. Dispensaries
youtube.comInteresting comparison of possession limits I saw in the news. (We should remove our possession limit entirely)
If I were a medical operator looking for reasons to oppose the recently proposed cannabis omnibus in Illinois, here’s the argument that I’d make:
Medical operators have paid significant fees for medical licenses for more than a decade. Earlier versions of the bill required adult-use dispensaries to pay fees to convert to medical and delayed implementation for nearly a year after passage, giving existing operators time to adjust. This version does neither.
Why would current medical operators support handing out medical licenses for free with immediate effect? It is a competitive advantage they hold at the state and (now) federal level (280e relief)
*(To be absolutely clear: I am not saying I agree with this…I’m just saying that I could see an operator make this argument against the bill)*

Hi[gh]
I received a few messages asking why mods removed the AMA threads from a licensed cultivator.
We did not remove the threads, as we encourage open conversation. It appears the poster removed the thread by their own choice [twice].
I wanted to make this post for transparency as some people asked if we decided not to allow the AMA. We were not aware that the AMA would be taking place.

All that said, I hope that all of you are doing well.
Stay lifted and keep sharing your experience consuming / purchasing / growing cannabis!
Cheers,
