Ideas on how to make this art?

I handbuilt this bowl but unfortunately the studio developed a leak which dripped through the bowl wall while it was drying. Me, my instructor and the studio owner tried to patch it but there were hairline cracks when it was bisque fired. I knew it would more than likely crack but i wanted to test the glazes so I went ahead anyway. Now I really like how it looks, and wanted some ideas on how to "use" it. Obviously a catch-all, but does anyone else have ideas? I think I'd like to display it in someway.

How should I use my remaining time in a 7 week class?

My 7-week class ends on June 7th, I have 2x2.5 hour class sessions and 1x2hr open studio session left, and about 15-18 pounds of clay. I have a few pieces that were bisque fired, and a few that are still drying. I believe my teacher wants to focus on glazing during the last class. I do want to glaze my pieces - simple probably no combinations - but I also really love the look of sgrafitto. I still have a few pieces in mind that I want to make like a hand built tortilla holder + lid, two hand built mugs, some pinch bowls, and a candle holder. How would you recommend I use my remaining time? Would you recommend I use my 2 hour open studio time before my next class or between my classes? What should I focus on? I'm in Texas, so I think things might dry relatively fast. Realistically I need to ensure that everything is ready to be glazed on June 7th, but I could possibly do another 2 hour session after that time.

Big Bend Park

Has anyone traveled to Big Bend recently? If so, what was your experience with the Border check point? Did they check your passport / visa? My F1 stamp has expired, so I'm worried that they might think I crossed into Mexico.

Trimmed too close to the sun

I'm fairly new to pottery, and recently trimmed my first pots. Unfortunately I trimmed a foot unevenly, and now there's a thick section and a very thin section. Is it possible to "rebuild" the thin section by adding some clay and slipping and scoring? Im worried about whether adding wet clay to a dry bowl will damage the bowl. Thanks!

Rebar Made Tough pants for hiking?

Has anyone used the Rebar Perfect Rise Made Tough Straight Pant Link for hiking? if so, are they comfortable / would you recommend them? My next trip is in Big Bend in July so these might be too hot, but I currently only use sweat pants or tights and want another option.

What does your average week actually look like?

Im in computational biology, a few months into a 2nd postdoc in a really competitive program, and my PI is a massive name. I feel like im never getting enough done / not working enough / taking too long to get stuff done. Would you mind sharing what your average week looks with regards to time spent in meetings, reading, research, procrastination? Thank you!

Sample size calculation for comparing two methods of prediction

I want to evaluate whether a new stochastic method or physicians are better at predicting a specific outcome for patients. I plan to hold a weekly meeting wherein 7-8 patient cases are discussed. After each case the physicians will anonymously make their predictions about whether the patient will experience a specific event. However, the make-up of the group of physicians changes a little between weeks so I'm not surveying the exact same clinicians across all patients. In parallel I'll use the new stochastic method to make predictions for the same patients, and at the end I want to compare the accuracy / AUC / performance of the physicians against the new method.

Per my admittedly limited statistical knowledge, the ideal method of doing this caluclation would be via simulation. What's tripping me up is (1) whether i have to account for any correlation between physician predictions for the same patient since the physicians will hear the same discussion which could bias them. (2) I have estimates of the AUC's for physicians and the new method, how do I use those to generate the predictions made by each in the simulation?

Currently my plan is:

For different sample sizes:
  For multiple replicates:
    Generate the patient cohort
      For each patient:
Sample how many physicians will be surveyed,
        Generate the physician predictions,
        Calculate the AUC
        Generate the stochastic model predictions
        Calculate the AUC
Compare the AUCs via De-Long's test and keep trakc of the results
  Calculate the power.
