Tall girls, where are we getting non-cropped workout tops??

Apologies in advance if this seems silly, but for the life of me, I cannot find workout tops that aren’t cropped and/or bodycon. If I find a full length workout top, it’s either super tight-fitting or if I try and buy a few sizes too big, just looks silly because it’s not how it’s intended to be worn.

My dream workout top is a tank that hits my hips, isn’t made to be tight, and has a lower cut hemline so my chest isn’t sweaty.

Any recs welcome, please help a girl out 🙏

Where can I find a cute AND comfy set with long pants?

I bought this set from SHEIN, and I absolutely love the material and the fit. The only problem is that the pants are ridiculously short on me 😭

I tired sizing up to a L but the pants were still short and the shirt just fit too big. I also tried two different sets from their Tall section, but one had really rough/heavy material, and the other had an insanely thick waistband that pressed into me waaay too much, and I don’t think it was sizing issue. The quality and design just weren’t it.

So, does anyone know where I can find a cute, comfy lounging set with soft material and pants that actually fit?

I’m willing to spend a little more if anyone has a strong recommendation that is more pricey, but budget friendly would be preferred. Please give me your recommendations!

Can I wear 8cm heels for school?

Hi! I'm 171 cm at 16, so I already stand out in group photos even without heels. yesterday, I found a pair of heels I genuinely loved for the first time and dared to buy them. I've worn them twice now, and both times I got looks, but I couldn't tell if they were good or bad.

I asked my mom if I should wear them to school tomorrow because my worn-out sneakers don't go with the formal outfit I planned. She said students don't wear heels to school, compared me to my shorter friend who wears them without standing out as much, and said I could wear them to parties if I wanted to show off my body. the conversation made me cry because I could tell she was looking for logical excuses with the real reason being "youre too tall for this"

Now I don't even feel like wearing them because I'm worried I'll look ridiculous or be judged for standing out even more. Am I overthinking this, or would wearing heels to school actually be socially unacceptable? (Keep in mind that my school's dress code is basically nonexistent, I literally have red hair)

Dressed that end mid thigh?

Went to a few stores today and the dresses I tried on were comical. I thrifted a dress years ago that perfectly fit and went mid thigh. Unfortunately misplaced it and I miss having a cute dress. In store seems to only have dresses that sit right at my ass 🫩

I’m 6ft, no set budget, I have a 36D bust and wear M/L. Looking for something that will fit the boobs and length of my body feels impossible

how to gain weight?

CONTENT WARNING!!! discussions of EDs & weight!!

(need advice from all my gym girlies especially)

hey guys! this is a bit of a vulnerable post but no biggie, i’m after some genuine tips and tricks on how to gain weight as a 5’11 woman. :)

for some backstory, i’m 20 and i have always been really skinny and lanky. i’ve been 60-65kg since i was 14 and haven’t gained nor lost weight. however, ive got a very athletic build and despite being in the “healthy range” i am severely lacking in strength and have multiple nutrient deficiencies. i’ve never really had an eating disorder, i just have really weird hunger cues and often forget. for the record, i DO eat 3 meals almost every day but it’s simply not enough. i burn far more than i gain.

it’s getting to the point where i am desperate to gain weight and trying to set a goal of 75kg, that way i am at a genuinely healthy weight for myself and i can start going to the gym.

i really need some tips and tricks and not just “eat more.” what has helped you guys?

HELP NEEDED: looking for a fall coat

Hi all!

Fall is here and I’m searching for a fall coat (references in the pictures above) for tall girls. For references I’m ~6’1 and I’m based in Canada.

I’d prefer recommendations for stores in North America but I’m okay with other locations aswell.

I’m specifically looking for a peacoat but I’m open to other styles.

Thanks in advance! 🫶

Where are you getting cute shoes?

I wear a men’s 12 narrow or a women’s 14 regular. Because of this I exclusively buy men’s shoes, but the options that come in narrow are very limited. Also, I hate wearing men’s dress shoes at work. Right now my rotation is a black and white tennis shoe, a brown men’s loafer, and a couple pair of dr martins. I would love something a little cuter! I know there are websites that sell women’s shoes aimed at drag queens, but I would really like to try them on because shoes designed for men just don’t fit my feet well because I have a traditional female foot shape, my feet are just huge.

Yes I am very tall, yes I was assigned female at birth, I am taller than both my parents and wear bigger shoes than my dad

194 cm tall girl here, what sports do you actually enjoy?

I’m a 194 cm (6'4") woman and fairly big/strong as well. I currently train martial arts, which I really enjoy, but sometimes I wonder whether I’m putting myself at a disadvantage by choosing sports where being shorter and more compact can often be an advantage.

I’ve think that, at my height and build, I should probably just play basketball but honestly, I’m not sure I’d enjoy it as much.

So I’m curious: what sports do you tall women actually find fun, regardless of whether your height gives you an advantage or disadvantage?

Especially interested in sports where being tall doesn’t automatically mean “you should be doing basketball/volleyball instead.”

Would love to hear from tall women who’ve tried different sports what clicked for you, and what surprisingly didn’t?

Fellow tall women do you find you get more respect from men?

I 44 (f), Canadian work as an electrical engineer with a Masters in Electrical Engineering. I’m 5’11 and 220 lbs with dark hair and medium hazel eyes. I find that men are more respectful towards me than they are to shorter women. They see me as competent and a leader rather than small and weak. This by men of all heights tall, short or average height. Any other tall ladies experience this?

“I am a very boring man. I need to make it your problem.”

It’s all I hear whenever one is trying to wave me down in the street, on the subway, in the checkout line to ask me how tall I am, and do I play sports. It isn’t only men, there’s some very boring people of all genders in the world. But twice today, it’s been men trying to flag me down, crossing the street or the whole subway car to make sure I know how violently dull they can be.

Trust me, I was already assuming that. Looooong before you got to “I’ve never dated a girl taller than me before.” 🙄

Best dress shoe? Heels an inch or shorter?

I’ve never worn heels and don’t want to. Any suggestions for a shoe that gives an illusion of wearing heels? I want something I can dress up or down.

Tall AND fat. How did you gain confidence?

What the title says.

I'm slowly starting to accept myself the way I am. I ordered a lot of new clothes and I'm feeling myself, yay! I even bought buffalo platform boots, which is a big deal for me, because I didn't dare to wear something like this for a long time, not just because of my hight but also because of my shoe size. In my fucked up brain shoes like this can't look good on me because boots that size look so loooong and big. But I'm doing it anyway. I want to finally wear what I think is pretty!

Anyway, I'm just wondering how did you gain confidence? Because being tall and fat you're obviously standing out and it's far from the beauty standard. I mean, we can't escape societal expectations. It's so deeply engrained in us to have to be small and petite as a woman...

I need to unlearn all the shame around my body size, so, pls tell me how you did it if you want to tell <3

Need an alternative for these tiktok shop outfits

Does anyone know where I can get outfits like this in a set that aren’t too unaffordable? On TikTok shop, these sets are like $35 MAX and they are so stinking cute. Unfortunately, they seem to be just long enough for girls that are 5'6 according to the reviews. People say they are tall girl friendly but they are NOT from the reviews. I’m 5'10/5'11 ish.

Where to find thigh high socks ?

Hello, I’m 5’11 and have been looking for those for a while. Can’t find any in shops that are wide or long enough so I was wondering if any online stores have some that could fit me

Duster sweater

I’m looking for a chunky knit duster sweater that comes past mid calf. Similar to the one in the picture.

I’m 6ft tall, curvy with broad shoulders. The more natural the fabric, the better. I’m not trying to spend $500 on a custom cashmere duster on Etsy, just something nice to see if I really like the look.

I prefer one in a neutral color. If it buttons, even better.

Snowboard gear

Hi ladies, I have always struggled finding snow gear that is long enough for my arms and legs. My solution has been to wear men’s gear but it never fits right. Anyone know of long/tall brands for women’s snow pants and jacket??

Time Sensitive! Need Recommendations

I’m hoping I can find fast help here lol!

I need pants for work with at least a 34” inseam.

However . . .

I fell in love with Rekucci several years ago. They are pull on pants in a material that looks like regular trousers, and they have pockets and belt loops so they never look like pull on pants. They are also impossible to wrinkle. Like I could ball them up wet and stuff them in my bag, wait a week for them to dry, and they still won’t be wrinkled when I put them on. I had wide leg and slim fit.

I’ve worn them into the ground, and I need new work pants right away. I’m really hoping for something I can find on Amazon for fast delivery. I really don’t want thick fabric or “yoga pants that look like work pants.” I live in Texas and it’s too hot to wear stuff like that eight months out of the year.

Can anyone recommend a brand on Amazon? I know there’s a megathread for clothes, and I am looking through it, but I need fast results!!!

I figure this is the place to ask because every brand “recommended” by Amazon calls a 33” inseam “tall.”

Thank you in advance!

Best costumes for hiding long /slim legs?

Hello, I’m preparing for Halloween and I’ve been having a hard time finding costumes that would flatter my body shape!

I have the long legs/short torso combo, but my legs are REALLY skinny, so my lower body looks disproportionate.

I’d rather not have those on display lol, so could I get some creative costumes that will balance out my body? Most costumes in store are too short or reveal my proportions 😭😭😭
