Hi, I’m living in a townhouse with 3 other people. Typically in this area townhouses come unfurnished but as I have lived here for a year already, we have a lot of stuff we need already. I already purchased a table and a couch will be delivered tomorrow for us. There are some small things that will still be needed for the house but the issue is that everyone has different arrival times even though our lease starts August 1st. One girl will arrive the first week, one the second and one the third of the month I believe.

Some small things are drinking glasses, tupperware and some general supplies like dish soap, dishwasher fluid and trash bags. Things like that. Would it be unfair to ask them to either get things items delivered here, give me the money, or reimburse me if I buy it myself? I would like us for us to have everything we need but I think it’s unfair for me and the girl who moves in the first week of August to potentially go without OR if we don’t want to, we have to buy it all ourselves so that means they wouldn’t have to necessarily contribute to standard move in costs. Obviously a kitchen table and a couch are really expensive and their portion of what we need will come nowhere to that. I just don’t want to spend anymore money than necessary.

I have no desire to hear whether or not you like FF. I think it’s a good brand, it’s within my budget and before I came along, my cat was only eating dry, a universally agreed low quality one at that. Anyways, I know it’s not the absolute #1 wet cat food so my personal decision is to add some toppers to help a good feeding become a great feeding. I do think this will be more cost effective/bang for my buck than switching wet food brands also a less offensive decision for my cat. I think he’ll appreciate the variety as well as wet food time is his favorite time.

What are y’alls recommendations? I already have my eye on freeze dried quail eggs. I would not like anything refrigerated!

Edit: I only don’t want anything refrigerated because I only have a single cat and it seems like the shelf life for most is like two weeks and I’m not sure we would be able to use it in enough time.

So I rent a room in a townhouse from a private landlord. The house I am in is typically passed from tenant to tenant or from tenant to recommendation. It’s a college house. My landline is really hands off but she is also unresponsive. I messaged her introducing myself as I will be the one taking over the lease for the next leasing period from my current housemate. She didn’t respond yet she has her read receipts are on so she saw it. Again today, I messaged her asking when we could schedule a good time to talk about the lease. She left me on read again.

It’s also to note, she apparently doesn’t speak English that well (according to others, I have yet to hear her personally or know what other language she speaks). Would it be insane if I were to just call her today despite her lack of response? It’s not like she’s going to kick me out the house or not let me renew the lease because again she’s really handsoff. I’m just not sure to handle her because she’s known to just drag out the process of everything because she just doesn’t respond. Like last year, we sent our signed leases late June and we didn’t receive them back until July 11th and we only received them back then because someone emailed her asking again for them.

Does anyone have any experience dealing with a procrastinating/unresponsive landlord when trying to get shit done?

I have never used this app before but I’m trying not to go the U-Haul route because even then, I most likely won’t be able to manage myself. Has anyone had any experience with picking up furniture from a local from a location for a client and delivering it for them? The item will be a kitchen table with chairs and it might need to be unassembled as well (probably just the legs) to be able to fit into my house. Might need the tasker for maybe an hour/hour and a half max.

I’ll be doing this later in July so I just want to be aware of the best possible way to make it run as smoothly as possible. Taskers, do you have any input? Also what would I categorize this as in the app?

Hi everyone, I have no idea how to go about this but a girl from school (GMU) just threatened me online because she believed she was entitled to something and she is not. She has my address unfortunately and she has said that she will make my life a living hell. How do I go about filing a police report and how do I got about reporting this to GMU after I file? She truly believes she is in the right in this situation and is so delusional about it, im truly fearing the worst since she literally has my address. I did not know this girl at all until literally hours ago and it has progressed to this. I’m worried that it’ll progress more if I don’t nip it in the bud.

Hi, I have the opportunity to handpick all my housemates instead of having all completely random roommates. I have had some horrible experiences in the past and I want to try to make this experience as smooth as possible. If you guys were in my situation, what things would you do? What rules would you set? Tell me what were your biggest issues with your past or current roommates so I can use all this plus my experience to try and build the best situation for us all.

*just a little rant*
I understand that living with roommates you’ll naturally bump into each other a lot but I literally never get time alone in this place. It’s always disrupted and it’s so goddamn annoying. I was just able to have my first hour and only hour alone in the kitchen today and it’s 3 am. THE NEXT DAY. I woke up, and two of my roommates (a couple) were cooking in the kitchen. Okay, cool. Three is a more than a bit crowded so I prefer to avoid. I’ll get a bit of time to use it before I go to work today. NOT! after they finished, maybe 30 mins later, I can hear my other housemate go into the kitchen. She’s so messy I honestly hate trying to use the kitchen at the same time as her. Gets stuff everywhere and doesn’t wipe it as she goes or even after. She also lives in the living room which is right next to the kitchen. So, I had no time to really be anywhere quietly by myself before work. Not even my room which is right beside the laundry and it’s been running since I woke up. I get off from work and guess who is in the kitchen again? The couple. Straight down to my bedroom I go. After the couple, the girl goes back to the kitchen again and to the living room she stayed until 2 am something. Most likely fell asleep on the couch as usual but don’t forget she also was doing laundry when I got home late at night even though she’s been doing laundry for the past three days……

It’s nice to save a bit of money but I honestly just might say fuck it, get a second job and get a studio atp cause this is just ridiculous and the lack of social awareness these people have is crazy. I don’t feel anyone should go out of their way for me but I clearly give you guys more than enough alone time in the house. I’m never in the way when people want to cook, do laundry, or anything like that. I would expect atleast a little bit of that courtesy back like once. I work a variety of different times and this still happens like almost daily 😭

I had my IUD procedure done May 4th. I experienced all the usual symptoms such as cramps but since insertion, I’ve been feeling like I had the very beginnings of a UTI. You guys might know the feeling that I’m talking about? How it just doesn’t feel quite right down there. There’s no pain or anything like that. Not feeling like I frequently need to pee or anything. I have a follow up coming soon so I’m not overly concerned but I just wanted to see if anyone has experienced the same.

I already was a bit prone to utis but I’m thinking that she has become extra sensitive now. I’m becoming more strict with wearing no underwear when I can, increasing my water intake, etc to see if it helps before my follow up.
