New to area.... any recommendations?

New to the area. I drive a larger cruiser (1400cc) but did not know if there was any areas to avoid. I do not plan on driving the interstate very much if at all. Is the town generally safe or are there a lot of accidents?

What is this leak from?

I have a mercuiser 120 hp 2.5 L I/O on my Webbcraft 1985 boat. This water is coming in from right around where the trim senders come in the boat. It comes in regardless if the engine is running or not. We had the boot and bellows replaced about 2.5 years ago. Anyone know what this is coming from?

Fix Rust or Invest in a new(er) truck...?

2008 Silverado 1500 with the 5.3 Liter Engine Flex Fuel. I have owned since 2020 and 56k miles. Now has 140,000. The bed is rusted of course and then the bottoms of the doors are now also rusting through. I have had the cab corners and rocker panels replaced in 2021. Engine runs good and everything else seems to be great... except for the rust.

From what I have seen a rust free bed will run me $2500 and no idea about the doors. Do I cut my losses and try to get about $10,000 for the truck and then try to find a newer Silverado or try to save it?

Apartment Electricity Question

Hi all,

Moving to Austin sometime before August. Was looking at a 2bd 2bth apartment on the 3rd floor (top floor) of an apartment complex. The relator said the electric ranges from $175-225 a month. I am wanting to keep the apartment 70 at night. Does this electric bill tell you all anything about how good the AC is?

Or if anyone knows of any 2bd 1-2 bath apartments near UT Austin Campus (preferably North Campus) let me know! I was hoping to spend about $1500.
