So confused about lower expanders

My daughter has had phase 1 treatment with an upper RPE. She is currently in the rest phase for 3
Months and then it will be removed. Her bottom jaw is very small and crowded. Two adult teeth have grown in but she’s lost 4, and the spaces where the baby teeth have already closed and no adult teeth are growing in.

I was speaking with another parent who had a child with a similar situation who also had a lower expander, which she said uprighted the teeth and allowed for more upper expansion. I mentioned this to my daughter current ortho who said that lower expansion isn’t a thing and essentially she is maxed out on her upper expansion because of the size of her lower jaw. I also mentioned palate expansion and if it would help some of her airway issues with mouth breathing at night and he said the two were unrelated.

I am doing a consult with the orthodontist the other parent uses just to see what they have to say, but I truly am confused about these opposing viewpoints. Obviously I want what’s best for her, and I’m wondering if her current ortho is just more old school and perhaps there’s a better way? Looking for any input

Confused about eye drops

I posted yesterday about my daughter‘s crested gecko with a cloudy spot on their eye. I brought her to the exotic vet today who said there was no ulceration, and that it seemed to be an injury. We were given two types of eye drops & she was given an A/E/C vitamin injection.

I just gave her the eye drops, which sat on the surface of her eye for about one second before they were immediately licked off. Are they still effective?

Eye issue

My daughters crested has an appointment tomorrow at an exotic vet, but I am wondering if anyone has had an issue similar to this so I can potentially prepare myself for what the issue may be. My daughter loves this gecko and is super anxious about her potentially being ill. Her eye shows a darker spot and some cloudiness today - it was not there yesterday. I contacted the exotic vet today and thankfully they can see us tomorrow. Humidity goes between 60-85 depending on time of day and temp 71-75.

New Crestie - Wrinkles normal?

hi! my daughter got a Crestie about a week ago. Shes getting more comfortable with her enclosure and exploring a ton, but I haven’t actually seen her eat it notice the food dish looking any lower. We make her fresh watermelon Pangea daily. Humidity and temp are good. my concern is that she may be getting dehydrated, she was on the glass and looked a little wrinkly But I’m not certain if this is normal appearance. thank you!
