First time watching the 2004 series, so here's some fanart

My fiancé has the entirety of the BSG 2004 series on DVD and it's one of his favourite shows to date, so he introduced me to it and I 1) fell in love and 2) cannot believe I haven't watched this sooner. I live for sci-fi and cool spaceships, I live for drama and messiness and angst — this covers all of those and more. The visuals inspired me to make my own fanart! WIPs included because I personally love to document evolutions :)

I'm a self-taught artist and specialise in drawing people generally, so I did find it a bit difficult to get the proportions on the Cylon Raider and Viper Mk IIs correct, but I think the general shape gets across pretty well.

I did some sleuthing on here to see if there was a lot of other fanart. I'm disappointed that there isn't! Hopefully you enjoy this contribution.

Not Your Mother's Curl Talk Bond Building line & low porosity/fine hair = not a match, please assist

First pic is me with the old routine, second pic is me with the new. Hair might not LOOK that bad, but it FEELS terrible...

Hi all, I have just recently moved back to the US from the EU and am trying to find a routine that works for me. I recently bought Not Your Mother's Curl Talk Bond Building shampoo/conditioner (about a month ago) as recommended by a friend... turns out it makes my hair feel like straw and my curls don't even last three hours before turning into a frizzy, sticky mess. It almost feels like the products don't wash out of my hair properly. I have also found that the hair at the nape of my neck becomes matted so quickly. Could this be due to the protein?

In addition, I picked up NYM's Curl Talk Sculpting Gel (fragrance-/protein-free version) as I heard that was similar to Umberto Giannini's Curl Jelly Scrunching Jelly, but I have found that I get ZERO hold while my hair feels sticky at the same time.

For context, I have naturally blonde 3b curls. Very fine but dense/a lot of it. Low porosity (takes forever for my hair to soak and then to dry). No dye or bleach has ever touched it. I rarely use high heat tools like irons and only diffuse on wash day. I also have a pretty dry and sensitive scalp. My old climate was on the drier side and new climate is quite humid.

My current routine is:

Wash 1-2 times per week (more often due to sweat)

Ouidad Water Works Clarifying Shampoo (for chelating/hard water/product buildup) every second wash or when I feel the need to)

NYM's Curl Talk Bond Building Shampoo (double shampoo every time)

NYM's Curl Talk Bond Building Conditioner (leave on for 2 mins)*

Detangle in the shower with Tangle Teezer brush

Apply NYM's Curl Talk Scultping Gel to wet hair (brush through, then praying hands) and scrunch excess with cotton t-shirt

Plop for 10 mins

Diffuse

*I currently do not have a deep conditioner

My old routine was:

Wash 1-2 times per week

Deep condition with Umberto Giannini Thirsty Curls Treatment Mask (when needed)

Q&A Clarifying Shampoo (the blue bottle, when I felt the need to)

Noughty Wave Hello Shampoo

Noughty Wave Hello Conditioner (leave on for 2 mins)

Detangle in the shower with Tangle Teezer brush

Apply EITHER Umberto Giannini Curl Jelly OR homemade flax seed gel (brush through, then praying hands) and scrunch excess with cotton t-shirt

Plop for 10 mins

Apply extra gel to frizzy/unruly pieces

Diffuse

If you have any suggestions (preferably drugstore or something under $20 a piece) in terms of shampoo/conditioner pairings as well as deep conditioners or stylers, please let me know. I would be willing to pay the extra price to order from Umberto Giannini US with shipping, but I don't know anything about their shampoo/conditioners. I hate having this frizzy velcro hair!!!

My new tattoo!

I wanted to combine two of my favourite things: Pikmin and EXO! The leaves are inspired by a version of EXO's album "The War" and I thought about how this would go so perfectly together with Pikmin. This tattoo is so magical and I am so in love with it.

Tattoo created by the talented Minuetta (minuetta.ttt on Instagram) at Soul of Ink in Copenhagen (soulofink.cph on Instagram).
