Does anyone remember Generator Music also known as "G-Music" for short the very first copycat of Incredibox???
It’s likely that no one remembers it anymore, but I find it surprising considering it’s been around for 13 years that it has been largely forgotten or goes unrecognized. What surprises me is that many people now think SpRUNki was the first clone to try to piggyback on Incredibox's fame an opinion held by "new fans" and "larpers" who never played Incredibox (not even the demo) and only did five seconds of research before deciding SpRUNki was a rip-off. However, as I dug into "Generator Music" (or G-Music), I discovered that this clone was actually created specifically to copy and capitalize on the success of the original Flash-based Incredibox. It emerged after Incredibox had already peaked with its "Little Miss" (Version 2) release which even made the news on the BBC back then on during 2012. If you analyze it, the game is essentially a clone or fusion of the original Incredibox ("The Original") and the then-popular "Little Miss" and "Sunrise" Flash versions. It was offered for free rather than as a paid product because, well, if you didn't have the original, you’d look for an alternative or a copy. People enjoyed comparing the two back then, but in my opinion, G-Music deserves some recognition as the "true first Incredibox clone," even though it has gradually lost relevance and faded into obscurity over time. Over time, it has become something of an "underrated" gem. What do you guys think? Does anyone remember this very old Incredibox clone?
