Alright folks. Before I move onto what happened, I want to say; thank you so much for all your suggestions on how to fix the issue and advice on what I should do. I really appreciate the community coming together to help me.

Now, onto the update.

My friend came over. We went over the list of suggestions, stress tested, checked everything. You may not be surprised to hear that nothing was seemingly wrong with my components such as the PSU - RAM - CPU - MOBO... except for the GPU's continuing issues in spite of everything. I decided to RMA it, and I got the final answer; it was indeed faulty.

So. I'm sure AMD drivers have issues, I believe it because as I mention in my OG post I'd get a once in a blue moon driver timeout and sometimes they did funky things. But it was always very easily fixed via cleaning and reinstalling. If you're encountering repeat driver issues with hard crashing like me, even on the most stable release, it's time to consider RMAing your card — because it may not be the drivers at all.

I'm gonna deviate a little from here, so feel free to skip if you just wanted to know what the issue ended up being.

I was going to stick with my 9060 XT. And I know you're probably reading this and thinking, "are you switching to NVIDIA?" No. Because I am upgrading to a 9070 XT! Between these issues, I encountered an insane offer for the 9070 XT that I just couldn't decline. My desktop, with a 7800x3D CPU, was originally going to have a 9070 XT but I had settled with a 9060 XT because of sudden budget issues at the time. Now it's in my hands, all while I had a faulty 9060 XT all along. It's kind of surreal and funny how life turns out, sometimes.

Don't take this to mean the 9060 XT is bad though. I genuinely had an amazing time with it, it's an excellent card. I'd have 10000% kept it if I hadn't seen that offer, because I was incredibly happy despite 'settling.' I just have my ideal desktop now, especially as I upgraded my monitor recently and I knew the 9060 XT was more suited for 1080p...

But that's it!

If anyone wants me to make a future update on this ordeal I will. Otherwise, please take my silence as a sign of nothing but good things lol. So far, everything's going great.

EU servers are kind of miserable right now, on both sides—but again, it may just be skill issues on my part.

I noticed there's still a lot of tunneling despite a lot of players agreeing it's "way more freeing." Do some of you feel otherwise?

I'm going insane. Cleaned everything, reinstalled the new drivers. Now on top of my PC hard crashing once in a blue moon (I suspect the drivers or GPU is the cause but I am having someone look at it for me instead soon because irl issues, for all I know it's some other bs), I got yesterday OVER 6 DRIVER TIMEOUTS. I can't play anything without timeout, timeout, timeout, or some kind of stutter and frame rate drops because most settings in Adrenaline are somehow fucked up... I can't even use the options in the damn software!

I don't get it. I'm starting to regret buying AMD and I can't believe I am saying this. Back in the day I was absolutely head over heels with my 290x. Did I sometimes have driver timeouts? Yeah. Once in a blue moon, not over 6 fucking times in a day. Cleaning and reinstalling always fixed stuff until my card died.

So I am coming here for help as a last ditch effort... What drivers are the most stable for you? Did you undervolt, underclock? What can I even do at this point? Do I just reinstall W11 again? I also disabled auto updates.

If so, what's the stupidest reason they have been salty for?

I did a bunch of the gens including the final one for everyone to get out. Somehow, they were still mad at me in chat acting like I just hid and did nothing. Someone has to do the gens...?? Sabo groups are strange.

I am getting these little shits again. And I say little shits because they're not trying to have fun, they're spamming 'EZ' in EGC.

Right now, I am wondering what is the point of playing him beyond the fact he's an extremely popular character of Silent Hill fame. Because beyond his add-on pass, I feel like it's not very often acknowledged he's been left to rot.

Anti looping should be great, right? And I think they did buff his recovery after miss. It's still heavily punishing compared to newer killers and the forced tank controls make flicking pretty hard, even though I know it's definitely 100% doable and I respect the ones who make it work. But it feels like little gain for something that asks so much. And he's countered hard by hold W.

The cages! They used to be great, but they kept nerfing them until they are basically mini hooks so you don't have to worry about... evading flashlights or something. It doesn't really matter. You need to learn cage logic, and then, for what? Certain perks now activate after survivors are rescued from them, completely nulling one of their original purposes.

It feels like basically playing a killer with a glorified M2 and nothing else (at least he's got a mini mori!). More and more, it made me wonder, why do I keep playing him? Well, I want to play him. I love Pyramid Head. But it's depressing that everything about him is either so counterable or—more insultingly—has been made 'palatable' for survivors.

I can't be the only one who feels this way. Again, I have seen people make him work. I want to, too! But now, everything about him, everything that's been done, has just... made me wonder, what is the point?

An iconic character, a licensed one, and he is just.. like this. His power was so cool. But now, it doesn't really matter much anymore.

I'm not sure how to close this off. I'm just sad. And disappointed. I was here to see the SH come to DBD. I remember going nuts about it, I remember questioning how Behaviour had somehow managed to get the license when Konami seemed to want nothing to do with SH! They landed on something that seemed impossible to get! And I'd even say, this license paved the way for Silent Hill's revival.

Now he's just there, I guess. I'm glad he got an add-on pass, but... I feel like something else needs to be done. I don't know, exactly, what would work best. But it'd be nice if cages were more relevant again.

I can use this opportunity to put a character to a higher prestige, but is the return all that worth it? I know they've fixed the cakes like... twice, already, but the number seems a little sus at a glance. Either way, I am getting some return out of it... but realistically, how much?

So a couple of months back, there was all the discussion regarding how they tried to fix Wesker's exploits and some tech that wasn't intended. But in return, he felt incredibly clunky to play then as bounding felt just... weird. Has any of that been addressed since? Or is my man just dead until they remember he exists?

Which one is better *when* you are trying to fish for head crits and conserve as much ammo as possible? Have there been any tests done on this? I'm thinking whether I want to swap off my handgun on the Lab (Hardcore) and maybe I have been sleeping on the Matilda.
