EXPLANATION: At the fancy steak house, the heading on the menu reads "Le Talion" - a French term that translates to retribution (retaliation).

For the second time in twelve months, I've been offered a shady opportunity to make a little extra cash.
My background:
Semi-retired software engineer with roughly fifteen years of experience. I've never been that great at my job, but my work history is impressive on paper.
Overview:
Out of the blue, I get an e-mail from an individual who is of east Asian origin. The message is about a job opportunity. The "job" is simply to go on interviews for other actual jobs. Said interviews - I was told - are pretty much a sure thing. Finally, the actual work would be performed by a third party. And they offer to give you ~50% of the salary.
Sounds illegal. It's definitely dishonest.
The guy spoke broken English with a Russian accent. So my guess would be it's D.P.R.K. I was reminded of the North Korean laptop farm that lady was running in Arizona last year.
Is this a known scam? Other than "North Korean IT Worker Threats to U.S. Businesses", is there a shorter handle?
I feel compelled to act. I'd report it, but DOJ only wants tips on crimes that have already been committed.
