Who do you think the venin in the chest actually is at the end? Upon reading up on Onyx Storm, I realized that Violet never actually set her eyes on exactly who was inside, so I wonder if it truly was Jack Barlowe or if it was somebody else.

There’s even a part where Tairn offered his eyesight so she can see it but Vi cut him off because she was worried about Mira.

Why was Theopanie smiling when she saw him (“There he is”), and it seems exhausting for Garrick to retrieve Jack’s body all the way from Basgiath at the last minute to Draithus without angering Leadership…

What was Rebecca’s inspiration in writing Fourth Wing?

I am on my second reread and I was wondering if anyone here knows where the author got the inspiration for writing this series. I’ve only seen a few interview clips, but I’m not sure if this question has been asked before. I’m generally curious because I've noticed so many parallels from other fantasy books and movies, so I'm wondering where she pulls her references from. I’d love to know more about the references of the dragons, the names, and the overall world-building if anyone has the answers to help satiate my curiosity 🙏🏼

So i have read theories here that Sgaeyl’s bond with Xaden could be severed after he fully turned at the end of OS…

But we don’t fully know if that’s possible since he can still talk to her after the onyx storm and even rode her to where Violet and the others are.

My question now is… i need to know the technicalities if ever Sgaeyl does go with Xaden. I’m not a fan of this theory because it means severing the mating bond with Tairn (which I think should be stronger than that of a rider’s). And I don’t like the idea either of Andarna severing the mating bond. Tairn is so possessive over his mate, why would RY do this just so she can serve venin Xaden?

Also she will be exposed to danger if she goes with him. So i’m holding on to the thought that she still lives but is utterly devastated.

I wonder what your thoughts are as for how this bond goes moving forward… I’d rather have depressed Sgaeyl than missing Sgaeyl 🥲💔

I finished OS last month and until now I’m having serious hangovers from xaden well the fuck aware riorson 😭 I can’t imagine moving on anytime soon but I’m getting worried because i feel like i fell in love with a fictional character and i even hallucinate or think about him when i’m out of the house💀

This hasn’t happened in a long time from reading fiction and it just hit me like a truck…

Do you guys have any hope for me like other books that have Xaden’s characteristics - obsessed, loyal, ruthless, brutally honest, hot, sweet, and vocal?

I’m screwed…..

So we now know that when Jack Barlowe challenged Violet to the mat, he was already >!venin!< due to the r>!ed rings in his eyes!< and that he >!channeled!< during the match.

I just find it funny how Vi almost could've killed an actual >!dark wielder!< because of... his allergies? I'm trying to grasp this reality because surely having >!turned!< would already exempt some previous natural weaknesses, but no... a fruit somehow became a weapon against >!venin!<?

Lol just a random thought and I wonder if I'm missing something here or if you guys think I'm just being ridiculous....
