What would be the Ideal Nikkah in Islam

I’ve been discussing Nikah plans with my mom and everything has been really stressful. We originally wanted to keep a small Nikah but more and more things and ideas kept adding on to it.
The main issues were costs as everything was going to be quite expensive , and then family, since both myself and my fiance have big families so inviting everyone would be extremely costly and picking and choosing who to invite would cause drama 🥴.

It boiled down to one last idea: My fiance and I go to a masjid along with our immediate families and just have our Nikah on our own, then hand out pots of food to the needy & later on announce to our extended family that we got married.
We understood that this will also make a few people unhappy but at the same time feel that this could also be the best option. No extended invites, no big deal, no party, just an intimate Nikah.

Does anyone have any advice regarding this?

Struggling with Salahs - is it a common thing?

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

My mental health took a dip recently, which caused me to ‘bed rot’ and miss salahs. This hasn’t happened in almost a decade…

Ive been feeling really miserable, making salah once or twice a day but most of all, feeling unable and too guilty to face Allah. I feel emotionally numb and just floating through the day. I try making dua but feel no connection to Allah 💔. I feel like I’ve been emotionally shut down ( my terrible sleep schedule probably has something to do with this ).

I know I will get back on track, I know I will bounce back and be back on my game, but Im just shocked that this even happened. I don’t like missing my salah but I can’t get myself to make that effort right now. Even on my struggle days, I still manage to force myself up to make salah, but these past few days I couldn’t.

I don’t know what to do. Has anyone else been through this before?
