Online Quran teachers: We're looking for 10 teachers to help shape a new teaching platform.

Assalamu alaikum,

We're building a platform designed specifically for Quran teachers who already teach students online.

Most teachers today juggle Zoom or Google Meet for lessons, WhatsApp for communication, separate payment tools, calendars, PDFs, and personal notes. We're trying to bring the teaching experience into one place.

We're currently in a private beta and are looking for around 10 teachers who:

  • Already teach Quran online (1-to-1 or groups)
  • Have existing students
  • Are willing to try teaching one or two lessons on the platform
  • Can give honest feedback about what works and what doesn't

This isn't a polished launch we're looking for teachers who want to help shape the product before it's publicly released.

We'll personally onboard every teacher, listen to feedback, and iterate quickly based on what you tell us.

If you're interested, leave a comment or send me a DM and I'll reach out with more details.

Jazakum Allahu khayran.

I'm researching what independent Quran Teachers actually struggle with before I build anything. Honest answers only please.

Assalamu alaikum,

I'm at the very start of building a platform designed around independent Quran teachers and I've made myself a rule: don't build anything until I've spoken to at least 50 teachers first.

I'm maybe 5 conversations in. This is me doing my homework.

If you teach Quran independently online or in person I have one question:

What's the part of your work that a piece of technology could actually make easier, but doesn't right now?

Not looking for validation of any ideas I already have. Genuinely don't know yet.
Payments? Finding serious students? Displaying your credentials somewhere trustworthy? Scheduling? Something else entirely?

If you've got 2 minutes, drop a reply. If you want to talk properly, DM me I'm scheduling 20-minute calls and will give you an honest look at what I'm building in return.

Salaam, Mahmoud

What's been your experience finding Quran teachers online?

Assalamu alaikum,

I'm a Muslim founder based in Dublin. I'm in the early stages of building something in the Quran education space essentially a way for families to find vetted, Ijazah-certified Quran teachers online and before I write a single line of code for the teacher-facing side, I want to make sure I actually understand the problem from the inside.

So I'm here asking, not pitching.

If you've tried to find an online Quran teacher for yourself or your children — how did you actually do it? WhatsApp groups? Facebook? Word of mouth from the mosque? A platform?

And what frustrated you most about the process?

I'm particularly curious about:

  • How you verified a teacher's credentials (if at all)
  • What made you trust or not trust a teacher you'd never met in person
  • Whether you've ever had a bad experience and what happened

I'll read every reply. This genuinely shapes what I build.

JazakamAllahu khair, Mahmoud
