2012 hilux horn not working

Hey guys the horn on my hilux isn’t working, any ideas?
I’ve checked the fuse all good. I’ve made sure the horn works when applying voltage, the horn works. I’ve heard it can be the clock spring but my horn doesn’t work when turning corners and my cruise control and buttons on the steering wheel are working normally which I’ve heard usually go when it’s the clock spring, thanks

Replace phone lines? Victoria

Hey guys never worked with old
Phone lines before, house has been painted, wanting newer white plates throughout house as old ones are yellowed.

Just wondering is this an old phone point or data? And how easy would it be to replace? Could I use a rj45 mech? Unsure of how the wiring would go though,

Thanks for your help

Current limiting main switch VICTORIA

Hey guys installing a new circuit for a cooktop in Victoria, this is the old main switch obviously not current limited just wondering if you need to upgrade this if installing a new circuit?

I have also heard of people installing circuit breakers after these main switches to avoid a certificate, is this legal? Thanks

Victoria COES

Hey guys in Victoria and never done a certificate and not sure why they don’t teach it in tafe, and just wanting to double check against my boss

Mains capacity I’m assuming you just put main switch amps? And for max demand are we actually working it out? Or are we just writing as before

For the testing would you ever put no result?

Thanks again

Voltage drop

Hey guys, sorry Im trying to wrap my head around voltage drop property. I have been told to start worrying about voltage drop when doing runs over 100 meters. I’m going to use an example: Talking about lighting circuit if you had a straight run of 80 meters with lights evenly spaced, and a feed from the switchboard running 50 meters to the centre of the 80 meters ( so 40meters of cabling branching off from the junction) my question is would you count all the cabling as 120 meters or would you just count the longest run as 90 meters because it’s not further than 90 meters from the switchboard? Just using this as an example to wrap my head around it, thanks

Hot water service, dual tariff, single element

Hey guys this is an old switchboard, wanting to upgrade it in the future but haven’t done something like this, just wondering what the best way to wire it would be, there is a cable comming from the meter I’m assuming it’s off peak power, single element how water service, that is always on night mode, what would be the best way to go about it, wiring diagrams if you have them, also would the off peak mains from the meter be the same as installing a time clock and contractor and just having it run at night price wise, sorry haven’t had much experience doing this, thanks

LEP Max Demand

Doing a practice Lep and a little confused at the circled air con and oven, both are in the same load group table c2 col. 3

“Full connected load of
highest rated appliance,
plus 75% of full load of
remainder”

Both being in the same load group I would have assumed you would have used the full load current of the ac and the 75 percent of the oven?

I’m confused at the way they have done this and why they have used 75 percent of 1 phase, any advice would be appreciated, thanks
