Monthly living expenses in Debrecen as a student

How much do you spend per month on average, excluding the rent? I excluded the rent because it can vary widely for everyone.

Hello everyone.

I am a PhD student in Mathematics in India, and I want to attend a conference in Milan.

Many other Ph.D. students attended conferences in the past by applying for a Schengen visa (in the business category, I think).

The rules seem to have changed recently. The website https://visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/ita/news/phd-students says that

  • PhD students ongoing attending conferences, workshops, or summer schools in Italy need to book their appointment under short-term study.

I was wondering if anyone has applied (or is planning to apply) for the short-term study visa for attending a conference, workshop, or summer school and could share their experience.
