I've had very severe delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS) from resistance training since about the age 22, which seems to be getting worse with age. Everyone always says it gets better as you get fitter but I was very fit and strong and lifting consistently. Yet I'd still struggle to straighten my arms and legs from the pain.
I've since learned hyper mobility can be the cause of this, as your nervous system struggles to gauge exactly where your joints are under force.
I don't have PEM, but my mum has it, and I seem to be on the path to chronic fatigue.
I was just wondering if this was something any of you have suffered with and if it's a early sign of PEM before it fully develops.
