PoolSkim seems to increase PSI and isn’t very effective?
Bought a pool skim for our 27ft 18,000gal above ground pool and installed it yesterday. Initial impressions are seems to work well and easy to install. Today as I observe it a little more, there seems to be a lot of debris that just keeps floating around it. The PoolSkim seems to be creating a current around itself that causes most debris to bypass it. Also, I noticed that my cartridge filter is at 20PSI with the PoolSkim and 10PSI without it, which is what the system typically ran at last summer. The increased PSI is making some tiny leaks much more noticeable. Am I better off without the PoolSkim or am I somehow doing it wrong?

First cook on the36” Iron Forge!
Had this 36” Iron Forge with Omnivore griddle and hood delivered from Ace Hardware on Saturday afternoon, just in time for it to rain up until about 8 hours ago. Finally got her seasoned and used the onion method, which made for a perfect smashburger topping! Unfortunately I was too high on the feeling of making some not-so-bad-if-I-do-say-so-myself burgers to get some more pictures, but I’ll try to get some the next time!
Also, beer is hiding behind my oil squeeze bottle, and not on the hot griddle.
