Unpopular Opinion: Two Wheel Suitcases Are Better

After 15 years, I finally had to replace my old Tumi suitcase from the original Alpha series. It had two large wheels and survived countless trips around the world, over cobblestones, rough sidewalks, train stations and airports. It never once made me question the design.
The replacement? Like almost every premium suitcase today, it has four spinner wheels.
I know people always say, “You can just pull a spinner on two wheels.” But I honestly think that’s only true if you’ve never owned a really good two wheel suitcase.
A dedicated two wheel suitcase is simply more stable. The larger wheels roll over cracks, cobblestones and uneven pavement with ease. Spinner wheels are much smaller, so they catch far more often. They’re also designed to roll upright, not at an angle, so when you pull them behind you they never feel as planted as a true two wheel design.
Yes, rolling a spinner beside you is effortless on perfectly smooth airport floors. But the moment you hit rough streets, ramps, slopes or inclined moving walkways, the advantages quickly disappear.
What puzzles me is how this became the industry standard.
My theory is that luggage manufacturers optimized for the showroom and the airport terminal. An empty spinner glides effortlessly across a polished floor, making a great first impression. But that’s only a small part of an actual journey. Once you leave the terminal and encounter real world conditions, the compromises become obvious.
To me, four wheels didn’t improve luggage. They optimized it for one specific environment while making it less capable everywhere else.
Am I the only one who feels that two wheel suitcases were actually the better design?

The Ys Game That Should Have Been a Full Remake

I almost cancelled my pre-order for Ys Memoire: Memories of Celceta because I really didn’t enjoy the combat system in Ys X: Nordics.

Instead, while waiting, I picked up Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana on sale on the eShop. I ended up loving it. It had so much charm that I actually played through it twice, which almost never happens for me.

So eventually Ys Memoire: Memories of Celceta arrived, and honestly, while it’s definitely not on the level of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, I still think it’s better than Ys X: Nordics.

The biggest issue is that it still feels very dated. The locked camera and low-resolution textures really remind you that this is basically a polished PlayStation Vita port rather than a full remake.

And that feels like a missed opportunity, because the core game is genuinely strong. If they had rebuilt this with the same engine and visual quality as Ys X, this could easily have been one of the best games available on Nintendo Switch 2.

I have a [Gucci Dive] Automatic YA136353 (40mm, black ceramic bezel, no-date version, 300m).

I really like the watch, but I have been thinking about changing the bezel insert to a red one, it would be more in my style and black on black is a bit boring.

I know this model is not built like a standard Rolex Sub/GMT case, so I assume generic “40mm Sub style” bezel inserts probably will not fit.

Does anyone know if there is a compatible red bezel insert for the [Gucci YA136353], or if anyone has successfully modified one of these?

I am looking for something that fits properly and does not look like a cheap aftermarket mismatch.

Any advice, measurements, or experience would be really appreciated.
