Genetically double merle?

I just realized from his embark that he is genetically double merle. He came from a merle x black tri pairing, but I know hidden merle exists. Is he really a double merle? I couldn't find any information on double merles not being mostly white. He doesn't have any other noticeable issues. He also has the gene that says he should be solid colored so maybe that cancels out the double merle(at least phenotype)? I'm considering getting him tested with UC Davis for more information about his merle genes. I'm not worried about it, I have no plans to breed him, I'm just curious and fascinated with genetics.

Found this little one in my backyard! Which species? [West Central Texas]

My guess is either P. arizonensis or P. texanus, leaning more towards arizonensis because of the stripes on the carapace. She is tiny, maybe 4-6mm.

Edit: problem(or lack of) solved! I'm just a worrywart

I just picked up this camera less than an hour ago and the battery charger just blinks orange no matter what I do. I put the battery in the camera to check it and it says 12%. Everything I've read says blinking orange means the battery doesn't work but am I really this unlucky to have a defective battery straight out of the box brand new? Do I need to return this or buy another battery? This is my first "professional" camera and I'm pretty overwhelmed that I'm already having problems like this.
