I have just tried playing Addictive Drums with Osmose and wow i need to upgrade from my maschine mk3. i only care about the pads but if the newest mpc is worth it and routable with working usb midi (mk2 didn’t have it) i’ll get it. what do yall use?

tl,dr - can i somehow control a hw synth without having to trigger a midi track, so i only record audio, allowing me to record takes in a loop for comping?
Most of the time I have some he synth controlled by my main midi keyboard utilizing HW device.
The problem is I want to record in a loop, so I have the audio takes ready for comping.
It’s not really possible when after a single round it just plays the recorded midi.
I really want to keep using bitwig for the routing,as i perform with my setup a lot so having everything over usb saves a lot of hassle.
Usual setup:
Osmose -> usb -> triggered midi track with HW Device -> One of my synths -> triggered audio track for recording

So my lgs already has some Hobbit items available for presale online, everything is available except for both normal and collector boxes + bundle. Is it possible it’s already sold out? A few months ago I’ve left my ssd with libraries at home, so i had to download some banks locally. I have then deleted them and tried to point NA back to the ssd location
For some reason even though everything else works, i have to manully find the folder for a couple of libraries whenever i want to use them. I have just tried to delete the database file and haven’t found it (deleted it about a year ago and it seems it didn’t create a new one?)
also the issue with NA is that when I point at the folder on my extrernal drive, it keeps showing KINGSTON 1 in the adress, while the drive is just named KINGSTON. So this causes a invalid path error every time.
Do I have to reinstall everything or is there any way to fix this simply? I have mostly stopped using ni stuff anyway, as it’s been unstable AF since the insolvency so I’ll probably just abandon it completely if this takes more than 20 minutes haha
yet again i am on the quest for a pad controller. i fingerdrum a lot and i love both the maschine and mpc pads, i hated the whole Live 2 experience and I only use my Maschine mk3 as a midi controller for bitwig, so most of the real estate on it is useless.
Maschine mikro is the obvious choice but i just wanted to check what you guys use in similar form factor
i mostly care about sensitivity, pads size (launchpad was too small) and build quality/convenience (i perform live a lot)
bonus points for something that has similar scales feature to maschine - i love that i can fingerdrum in one song and play bass synth in other on the same device, i can see this being annoying on the mikro with the lack of any kind of screen
