Transitioning to Claude Code

As a heavy Cowork user for knowledge work and non-technical tasks, I want to learn transition to Code (web/desktop app). For a novice like me as I learn technical way -- any useful straightforward steps I can refer to based on actual experience and learning curve?
Need your honest and desirable advice to setup Code (am using mac mini m4).

Thanks y'all!

Employer preferences

**Obviously, not sure if post is proper here, but shooting my shot...

I'm a male Chartered CIPD member (MCIPD) and looking to gauge the vibe before I start applying heavily in the UK (or Scotland in particular) as a skilled worker / HPI.

Are employers pretty neutral or inclusive these days, or are there specific sectors where guys in senior HR thrive better? I have 12+yrs solid background in HR, general accounting and commercial FP&A (dual profession).

Appreciate any insights!

Need assistance

Hey everyone,

Just capped off my almost a month of UK visit (tourist), mostly in Scotland. I know there are differences of being a tourist and living in the country in reality, but I'm getting ready to relocate to Scotland (Aberdeen/Perth/Fife;Edinburgh), and I’m looking to start building my local professional network for corporate and business opportunities.

**My background at a glance as 12 years working professional:**

* Deep experience in Human Resources / People Management (CIPD in progress) * Strong foundation in financial planning and general accounting (Chartered accountant in Philippines, AU/NZ) * US MBA Grad, SCQF level 11 equivalent (University of Illinois / UIUC)

**The Visa situation** -- **High Potential Individual (HPI) Visa route** to test job placement and just to get things started. I know there's high competitiveness in the UK job market and given all sponsorship challenges (but if there's open vacancy for grad level roles with attached sponsorship).

Since I'm just starting to hunt for connections and referrals, I’d love to chat and connect with anyone or help me thru referrals prior fully going there.

Cheers!

Hey everyone,

Just capped off my almost a month of UK visit (tourist), mostly in Scotland. I know there are differences of being a tourist and living in the country in reality, but I'm getting ready to relocate to Scotland (Aberdeen/Perth/Fife/Dundee), and I’m looking to start building my local professional network for corporate and business opportunities.

Job hunt for Migrant with HPI Visa Plans

Hey everyone,

Just capped off my almost a month of UK visit (tourist), mostly in Scotland. I'm getting ready to relocate to Scotland, and I’m looking to start building my local professional network for corporate and business opportunities.

My background at a glance:

  • Deep experience in Human Resources / People Management (CIPD in progress)
  • Strong foundation in financial planning and general accounting (Chartered accountant in Philippines, AU/NZ)
  • US MBA Grad, SCQF level 11 equivalent (University of Illinois / UIUC)

The Visa situation -- High Potential Individual (HPI) Visa route, which grants me immediate, full right to work in the UK just to get things started. I know there's high competitiveness in the UK job market and given all sponsorship challenges (but if there's willing for a grad level who can sponsor).

Since I'm just starting to hunt for connections and referrals, I’d love to chat and connect with anyone or help me thru referrals prior fully going there.

Cheers!
