Hey guys so I built an app that is meant to be used on the lower display instead of all of the factory functionality.

I also wrote WiFi and BT drivers and added in WiFi and BT dongles to connect to a BT OBD and your phone’s hotspot.

Here’s what’s done:
- (almost) Complete media control and source switching (seek and play/pause doesn’t work yet)
- Connection to a BT obd module via an external BT dongle
- External WiFi dongle w drivers
- Pulling metadata from Spotify incl album art (not shown in video yet)
- Updated TCP stack for internet access
- View current climate control status (no control)

I’ve been able to get some custom apps running on intouch gen1, will be releasing a guide soon. This one looks super ugly cause I just finished building it. But overall it’s pretty simple.

Currently have to see if CAN signals can be accessed directly or not, but I’m working on it. Hope to post with some more good news soon!
