Let's do a test 'would you swap this for that game' that many do for coaches or players

A lot of people aways have opinions or that, in other sports or even NBA fans are often asked if they would swap 1;1 this player for that player or current coach.

For example do you think Mystics/Atlanta/GSV fans/owners would want to swap coaches?

Reach out to friends that you go to games with or the like and ask them would you swap your current Coach for White and if yes/no why, and lets see what the result is if often enough the answer is no then most people clearly do not rate White as high as perhaps we as fan base might believe.

What about Toronto/Portland/Lynx/Aces?

And so the next question becomes if most fans wont swap current coach for White, how does that rank her in current wnba Scheme of coaches?

For me she is simply not even making top 5, from talking to people in person/arenas and online i dont think most fan bases would swap current coach for her that are in the playoffs and some that are out of the playoffs too.

What do you guys think about that and how do you rate her?

Here are few stats and facts, people with same experience or more in the league like Coach White are the following

  • Becky won rings
  • Cheryl won rings and rebuild few teams
  • Sandy Brondello - x2 CHAMPION 2014/2024 (had only one season under .500 before this year/expansion team)
  • Nakase from Becky coaching tree- New expansion team already doing better
  • Smesko second year coach improved a team with same core from bottom 2 DEFRTG and bottom 5 OFFRTG to top of the league

And thats just few names , there is conversation to be had about mystics/portland coach as well.

I do not think Coach White is a bad coach but i do think she is middle of the road one that you have to move on to win a ring, and given her 'stats' and 'experience' she dosnt really lead above the other options in the league.

I'm open to do this for players as well for example how Sky and Sparks did 1;1 swap for Rickea and Ariel Atkins , who do you think won that trade btw?

Do you think if you swap KM for Jackie Young we win or lose in that trade?

Injury report for 5/27 all games

  • 17 players confirmed OUT ALREADY
  • 6 playes probable/questionable or on min restrictions (making total of players who might not play or be around 8-15 minmark 23 in total this means two full team of players that might not see the floor much or at all )
  • This is without info SUBMITTED for 5/28 where we have Aces/GSV/Dallas/Fever

In other words just from average player out/injured or with min restriction/conditioning right now start of this season is highest its ever been, does this affect your desire to see games in person/watch live and how do you feel about season starting so so early that even players signed like Makani, Fieibch and so on missed already 5-8 games?

Do you think there should be extra rules for example in case of Rickea or other season long/ending injuries teams should be given said cap-space back (money provided by the league to cover the salary or % of it) so we can get more players/talent higher quality of games or anything similar to that, i personally think if a player is out for the season within first 10 games there should be some kind of ability/contract/salary clause that allows team to replace said contract for same amount without going to the cap , or even ability to trade for such contract.

We can see that there are a lot of new players in the league, this means players on waivers atm 100% can contribute and reduce injuries but contract/cap issues do not allow for this, in Mnba for example here two way contracts will help, here tho we do not have such option and i believe it forces even already 6-7 healthy players to play even more minutes further leading into more injuries.

EDIT : Forgot to add the official link for data in the post sorry > here it is

You can also find it by going to https://www.wnba.com/wnba-injury-report and selecting the latest update, as by the time this post is probably 12-24hours old some of the 'Questionable' status is gonna be upgraded.
