Meet Kayla! My Childhood Cat Reborn as an ESSA

I figured it was finally time to introduce Kayla, the first member of my ESSA family! 🌸🐾

She's a little different from some ESSAs because she's based on my actual childhood cat and best feline friend. I even had her plush custom-made by Chongker using photos of Kayla.

Of course, she's not a replacement for the Kayla I remember. She's more like a way of keeping those memories alive while getting to make new ones together. 🐾💕

Chongker Custom as ESSA?

Hoping someone here might own one! I’m usually extremely weirded out by super realistic plushies, but after seeing so many Chongker reviews on both etsy and their website about how much they’ve helped others with anxiety or grief, I’m hoping to find that too. But I’d love to hear from this community. I'm aware of cuddle clones and similar, but I really like how they awknowledge the ESSA community on one of their 'standard' golden retriever dog plushies right now and it comes with a vest and a blank id card to fill out. I also feel like they have a bunch of custom options that vibe with me personally.

How has the fur and color held up with frequent handling? Any tips on keeping the fur colors if that's an issue?
Did you have a good experience with the customization process (blueprints, photos, etc.)? If you had a special request, how accommodating was their team? For those who ordered specific weight or eye color upgrades, did the final plush arrive with those exact specs? I am curious about the 'special procedure' option in particular. What size dog/cat harness fits a standard Chongker best? I want to take mine out very frequently when it arrives and I am curious about good gear for the 14 inch version.
I'm also curious about the robots there too after seeing their videos on tiktok of taking them out in public, but they have so many models. Are the robots customizable? Is the movement mostly silent? Can you still hug it tight like a normal plush, or do the internal parts make it feel too hard or fragile? General thoughts from anyone who has one? I personally like animatronic toys, so these caught my attention.
