Bowling Deals in North or West OKC?

Howdy, me and a group of people I know (Apparently this subreddit blocks the word fr--nds) are looking for places to bowl in the north or west sides of the OKC metro. Given most of us are just outta college, we are looking for cheap and ideally not on the other side of the metro from where most of us are. I know of a few midweek deals (Like, Ik Andy B's has half price bowling on Mondays or AMF Windsor Lanes has $18 per person to bowl on Monday and Wednesdays from 7pm to when they close). If you know of something better please drop it here we would greatly appreciate it. There are about 6 to 8 of us.

Oklahoma Representative Tom Gann (R-Inola) writes open letter to President Donald Trump opposing Inola Smelter.

Text pulled from this post by Tom Gann made earlier today.

"President Donald J. Trump,

I write to you as a strong supporter of your America First agenda and as a State Representative from Oklahoma who endorsed you in November 2023. I fully support your effort to strengthen America’s national security, rebuild domestic manufacturing, and ensure that our military has reliable access to military-grade aluminum. That mission is vital. My concern is not with the goal, but with the chosen location and ownership structure of the proposed aluminum smelter in Inola, Oklahoma.

Inola is a rural community built around farms, families, cattle operations, churches, schools, and a way of life that has existed for generations. The people here are not opposed to American industry or national strength. They are deeply concerned about being asked to absorb a massive industrial project that appears incompatible with their land, water, air, agriculture, and community character. The scale of this smelter would permanently alter the identity of the area and impose significant risks on local citizens whose homes, livelihoods, and rural way of life deserve careful protection.

I am concerned that the full local impact of the proposed site may not yet be fully understood. I am also concerned by reports that the project could allow majority ownership by foreign interests tied to the United Arab Emirates. If the purpose is American national security, then control of such a strategic industry should remain firmly in American hands. We should not trade dependency on one foreign supply chain for dependence on another foreign-controlled entity operating on Oklahoma soil.

Mr. President, I support your effort to restore American strength. But Inola is the wrong fit for this smelter. I respectfully ask that you pause this project for a thorough review of the site selection, ownership structure, and impact on local citizens, including whether a more appropriate location can serve the national security mission without placing an unfair burden on this rural community.

America First must also mean Oklahoma families first.

Tom Gann

State Representative House District 8

Inola, Oklahoma"

Sen. Bernie Sanders has endorsed Trey Martin in Oklahoma's 5th Congressional District.

Per Trey Martin's Facebook page, Martin has been endorsed by Vermont Senator and 2x Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders. This is a pretty significant endorsement in the Oklahoma 5 race.

Edit: I do not yet have a source from Bernie Sanders to confirm this, this is only hours old so if anyone finds a source from Sanders it would be appreciated.

Edit 2: Confirmed by Sanders via Instagram post

On November 1st, 2026, Oklahoma will become the seventeenth state to outlaw marriage for persons under the age of 18.

Senate Bill 504 by Sen. Warren Hamilton and Rep. Nicole Miller has become law without the governor's signature as of May 13th, 2026. The law becomes effective November 1st, 2026.

The bill eliminates all exemptions that allow for persons to marry below the age of 18. Oklahoma is now the 17th state to do so joining Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Rhode Island, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut, Michigan, Washington, Virginia, New Hampshire, Maine, Oregon, and Missouri.

Through the dedication of several state legislators and Oklahoman constituents, SB504 became law. The bill nearly petered out several times and at the very end faced open opposition, nevertheless it passed. Here is the final legislative history:

First Reading: February 3rd, 2026

Do Pass, Senate Judiciary Committee, 7-0: February 10th, 2026

Passed, Senate, 45-0: March 25th, 2026

Do Pass, House Civil Judiciary, 8-0: April 2nd, 2026

Do Pass, House Judiciary and Public Safety Oversight, 10-1: April 14th, 2026

Passed, House, 51-36: May 6th, 2026

Becomes law without Governor's signature: May 13th, 2026

Now on that map of states that allow child marriage, Oklahoma is purple instead of red.

Oklahoma SB504, a bill to eliminate all exceptions for marriage under the age of 18, has passed the Oklahoma House of Representatives 51-36.

Yesterday evening, Senate Bill 504 by Sen. Warren Hamilton of McCurtain (R-7) and Rep. Nicole Miller of Edmond (R-82), a bill to eliminate all current statutory exemptions for the marriage of persons under the age of 18, passed the Oklahoma House of Representatives by a vote of 51-36.

This was the last legislative hurdle SB504 had to pass, with it passing the Senate Judiciary Committee by a vote of 7-0 on February 10th, the Senate by a vote of 45-0 on March 25th, the House Civil Judiciary Committee by a vote of 8-0 on April 2nd, and the House Judiciary and Public Safety Oversight Committee by a vote of 10-1 on April 14th. After passing the House yesterday evening, SB504 goes to Governor Kevin Stitt's desk for his signature or veto.

There is no denying that there are happy and healthy marriages in Oklahoma that would be denied under the age of 18 once SB504 becomes law. However, the vast majority of these marriages involving children did not go as well, with some of these alleged "safeguard" exceptions even facilitating human trafficking. This is a bill that will absolutely protect children.

Despite this, 36 Oklahoma Representatives voted no on SB504. They are:

Rep. Chad Caldwell of Enid (R-40)
Rep. Josh Cantrell of Kingston (R-49)
Rep. Rusty Cornwell of Vinita (R-6)
Rep. Denise Crosswhite Hader of Piedmont (R-41)
Rep. Ryan Eaves of Atoka (R-22)
Rep. Tom Gann of Inola (R-8)
Rep. Jim Grego of Wilburton (R-17)
Rep. Rob Hall of Tulsa (R-67)
Rep. David Hardin of Stilwell (R-86)
Rep. Neil Hays of Checotah (R-13)
Rep. Derrick Hildebrant of Catoosa (R-23)
Rep. Brian Hill of Mustang (R-47)
Rep. Justin Humphrey of Lane (R-19)
Rep. Molly Jenkins of Coyle (R-33)
Rep. Mike Kelley of Yukon (R-60)
Rep. Gerrid Kendrix of Altus (R-52)
Rep. Dell Kerbs of Shawnee (R-26)
Rep. Mike Lay of Jenks (R-68)
Rep. Cody Maynard of Durant (R-21)
Rep. Carl Newton of Cherokee (R-58)
Rep. Kevin Norwood of Owasso (R-74)
Rep. Jim Olsen of Roland (R-2)
Rep. Kenton Patzkowsky of Balko (R-61)
Rep. Eric Roberts of Oklahoma City (R-83)
Rep. Jim Shaw of Chandler (R-32)
Rep. David Smith of Arpelar (R-18)
Rep. Clay Staires of Skiatook (R-66)
Rep. Marilyn Stark of Bethany (R-100)
Rep. Jay Steagall of Yukon (R-43)
Rep. Danny Sterling of Tecumseh (R-27)
Rep. Dillon Travis of Maramec (R-35)
Rep. Rick West of Heavener (R-3)
Rep. Jonathan Wilk of Goldsby (R-20)
Rep. Danny Williams of Seminole (R-28)
Rep. Max Wolfley of Oklahoma City (R-95)
Rep. Rande Worthen of Lawton (R-64)

This State Legislature prides itself on its willingness to protect children, and SB504 does exactly that. Yet these 36 state legislators choose to bury their heads in the sand, choose to ignore the problem of child sex trafficking, and vote against this bill.

I do not doubt that a majority of Oklahomans are in favor of eliminating the exceptions that allow for child marriage. Attached above is a map showing the districts where representatives voted in favor of SB504 (in green), voted against SB504 (in red), did not vote on SB504 (in yellow), and vacant seats (in white). If you reside in a district represented by one of these Representatives, ask yourself whether they represent your community this November.
