Confused about the various weapons

I’m reading the audiobooks so forgive misspellings, because I’m terrified if I look up the spellings I’ll spoil something 😅 Are soulcasters and fabriols the same thing? Like don’t they both turn one thing into another? And if they are the same thing why the fuck would Sanderson give them two names? I’m positive shardblades are something totally different and just a weapon at least as far as they’ve been used. I’m a little past halfway in The Way of Kings

Diego

It’s me once again 😅 I have come close to tears a few times during this series (and RB) but reading chapter 9 of this book where Diego’s soul explains everything had me bawling by the end. I honestly found him sus since book 1 so wasn’t that shocked when he turned out to be a Nymph. I was however shocked when he died and now I just feel so bad for him 🥺

Do I need to tandem read?

I’m halfway into book 7 and wanted to know if I have to tandem read 8 and 8.5? I’m doing the audiobooks and it’d be a pain in the ass. However I’ll make it work if reading them consecutively would be hella weird. If it matters, I liked reading 1 and 1.5 separately 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don’t much mind retreading old ground close together, but I would mind if one of them won’t make sense without the other

I need a family tree

I’m a third of the way into book 6 and I’m having a hard time keeping track of all the heirs siblings. Can someone give me a list of each of the heirs siblings? Obviously leave out any secret ones if they pop up in later books. Thank you in advance!

Please explain Darcy’s anger over Orion

I only just started book 6 and I honestly can’t tell if it’s shitty writing or if it’s my autism. Why is Darcy so pissed at him? I understand that she feels betrayed because he switched plans at the last second on his defense case. But several people have explained to her that he did it for her own good. I also don’t totally understand how it was for her own good so I’d like that explained too 😅 But I’m trusting that he DID do it for her own good if that’s what everyone keeps telling her. So I’m just confused why she’s refusing to talk to him. Yeah he didn’t fight for her the way she wanted/expected but he did still fight for her ya know?

The Awakening As Told By The Boys

This is the only novella I’ve seen debate on where to read it. I decided to read RB after ZA3 because I’m somebody that likes to know character back stories. If I read ATBTB before ZA4 is something about it going to be spoiled? My line of thinking is it would be a good refresher when I finish RB and go back to ZA. I’ve seen people read it after 4 or 6 and wanted to know if it had major spoilers or something
