Did Shikamaru stole Sakura's thunder?

In part 1, we can safely say that Haruno Sakura had no gimmick jutsu of her own and that put her on a bad spot with a lot of fans.

She was a main character that was treated like a secondary character in development if she got any development.

But as I am rereading Part 1, it occured to me that maybe Kishimoto intended to use her like a strategy based character that resolves adversity via intelligence and knowledge similar to Nara Shikamaru.

You can see her in Wave Arc and I'm Chuunin Exam arc as being that smart character who has no gimmick except near perfect chakra control and very knowledgeable to the point she was one of only rookies who was answering Chiunin Exam part 1 questions on her own.

You also see her being particularly effective and not only setting traps but also using strategy to fend off Team Sound when both Sasuke and Naruto were down in the First of death and being quite accurate with her Shinobi tools especially kunai and shuriken throwing and chakra boosting her self.

The question is did Shikamaru steal her thunder by also being the smart strategy type but also having a gimmick jutsu compared to her basic jutsus?

Could it be that Sakura was supposed to be the female version what Kishimoto gave Shikamaru in terms of a tactical ninja, but gave up?

Your thoughts?

JYP the Papi of KPOP, he doesn't hide from haters at all and examplying how to treat them

WET

Can we all admit this man is the Daddy of KPOP Now?

I mean he is in his 50s and still puts out music and videos and doesn't give a damn about how people treat him that he made a song on a meme of him.

He doesnt hide from tabloids he puts himself front and center and takes them head on. He has balls of iron. The artists of JYPE are lucky they have someone this passionate about his art leading them. Confidence!

The best part... You can't deny the song is catchy. He deserves an award for this...

Naruto Anime Remake (RS version)

How I would want the New Naruto Anime remake (as a timeline):

The remake should add certain elements Kishimoto added in Part 2 manga as base. Such as clan territories. I think instead of just giving Naruto and Sasuke a lonely background it's important to show it visually and one great way would to show that each live in empty sectors one in the Uchiha sector (Sasuke), one in the Senju/Uzumaki sector (Naruto). I put the latter as same because in a way the Uzumaki never officially joined the Konoha village et creation. So it would be more understandable if they were given sharing space with the Senju. Both sectors would be empty of course. The Uchiha lost during the Uchiha Massacre and the Senju also nearly empty due to a lot of them dying during the Kyuubi Incident*. I think this would give a greater context on why people hate Naruto at first. Imagine being considered the cause of the loss of the villages greatest clan but also being it's resident and protected by the clan laws. It would protect Naruto in his home just not when he walks in the village center. The surviving Senju abandonned the clan by marrying into the other clans or leaving Konoha etc.

Beginning Arc (1.5mths - 6 weeks - 5 episodes):

Same start post the brief Kyuubi Incident revision. Konoha got attacked by the Kyuubi who was released in the Senju Sector and most of the victims ended up being the Senju clan, minus some minor survivors like the Hatake etc. Everyone hates Naruto for the Kyuubi Incident but Clan rules makes it that they cannot speak about it openly and certainly to him. So Naruto grew lonely at the farthest edge of the Senju Sector of the village. He basically has the village, the waterfalls and forest shared with the Uchiha for isolationism. So he generally goes out of his way to deface the Hokage monuments to cause havoc and getting attention on himself. The Mizuki event happens and concluded episode 1. I would cut the Konohamaru stuff drastically and introduce Sasuke and Sakura instead. The only change being Sasuke and Naruto have known each other for 5 years since Sasuke found himself isolated due to the Uchiha incident. They met each other at the forest connecting the two clans and have been secretly friends/rivals. They didn't reveal their connection to the class because Sasuke made it clear that he does not want anyone else in his self-isolationsim and Naruto desperate for a friend abide by it. Sakura obviously comes in between that but since Sasuke doesn't openly pursues her, Naruto plays it as being in love with the girl who likes his best friend and thinks he will woo her in one day like in movies. It's also why Sasuke doesn't persue Sakura as he knows.

We also establish that although Naruto isn't that great in class, he is good in the physical arts like Taijutsu and Shurikenjutsu etc. good enough to keep up with Sasuke during their usual spats. So when Sakura, Kakashi and team 7 comes along the dynamic is set.

The bell test event occurs (2 weeks) the dynamics is slightly changed. As at one point you do see Naruto and Sasuke team up and still lose to Kakashi. Sakura ends up being a bystander for most of it. We then see them going over 7D rank missions over the month (4 following weeks). During the segment a few of the village rules are clarified, such as each shinobi are left on their own and their clans to learn techniques. They are forbidden to teach other techniques unless it's their own creation. This would clarify why later you don't see Kakashi actually teach them any techniques. This causes dilemma for Sakura as she isn't part of any clan. Hence her initial struggles.

Wave Arc (2 months - 12 weeks - 10 episodes):

Wave arc starts the same way. The only difference is you see more combinations between Naruto and Sasuke because they know each other better. They are still rivals but combine forces when pressured. We also see Haku befriending Naruto at a certain point during the recovery training post initial fight with Zabuza. It's this dynamic that comes into play when they fight later on because Haku kind of shows him the mischiefs. A bunch of orphans he takes care off secretly. This connection troubles Naruto when facing Haku because unlike Sasuke he knows Haku isn't a terrible guy. So when Haku dies we actually see Naruto weep for the loss of his first friend.

8 month gap: pre-Chuunin exam (1 episode): The episode serves as a recap. 8 months passes after they return from the Wave arc. Team 7 has many more mission under their belts, we are only given glimpse of a few D ranks. It is implied that during the 8 months there has been more integration between team 7. Sakura is more in sync now and has a few tricks of her own to be valuable asset to the team (we will see in the Chuunin exams). We will see more on the missions post Konoha Crush. Outside of team mission dynamics however there has been growing personal conflict between Naruto and Sasuke. To put it blunt, Sasuke has issues that Naruto tries to befriend everyone. Friends and Foes. He particularly has not forgiven him for keeping friendship with Haku a secret, as it nearly got them killed. He becomes more and more cynical and isolationist doing only activities with Team 7.

Naruto on his side, is a bit ticked that Sasuke is so possessive of their friendship and also that Sakura still swoons over Sasuke for everything meaning he never gets to thingshe wants with the team, which is why he uses outside sources for his own contentment. One of whom has become friending Shikamaru and Chouji in Konoha.

Sakura and Ino are also a thing, especially when comes to the Sasuke Fan club. We get a glimpse of team 10 who want to befriend team 7 too but are not very successful, with Kiba trying to be a Sasuke fan which Sasuke despises, Naruto finds Shino creepy and Hinata unable to confess to Naruto while also not able break in the Sakura-Ino friendship connection.

(Coming up)

--> Chuunin Exam Arc (2 weeks) --> 1 month gap --> Chuunin Finals/Konoha Crush Arc (1 week) [Completion of 1yr] --> Itachi incident (1 week) --> Search for Tsunade Arc (1.5 months) --> Sasuke Naruto roof fight ==> past recollection (8 months gap missions : insert 2-3 arcs or movies; like say modified movie 1 where Naruto and Sasuke do not have rasengan and chidori but find other tactics to win instead) ==> Sasuke Betrayal/Rescue Arc (1 week).

A reward of D rank scroll with 3 techniques for becoming Genin

Anyone else feel that when they became a Genin (officially after the Bell test) the Genin should have been given a scroll with the 3 basic D rank jutsu?

I mean Kakashi said there is a 33% success rate to becoming an actual Genin. So shouldn't they be rewarded for succeeding?

Especially when you consider that unlike originally thought the Jounin commanders are only there as mentors and not actual teachers. Meaning that they are there to give you career and tactical advise but not really to actually teach you new techniques.

So if the Genin are left on their own to acquire their own techniques, wouldn't it be wise to give then at least a D rank technique?

I think they should have given the reward with the scroll containing one (if not 3) of the 3 following :

  • Shunshin/Body Flicker
  • Kanashibari/Temporary Paralysis
  • Kageshuriken/Shadow Shuriken

This way those who do not have the privileges of a clan or family techniques can at least have something in their arsenal. None of the techniques are OP but can be turned OP via training and mastery.

I would have loved if the deal was like each grabbed one (kinda like a startup Pokemon) and mastered it.

If you agree which team member should grab one for their arsenal?

(I'll post mine later)

We are lucky our core is all signed up

Yes, I had really considered Pavel Dorofeyev as a trade target potential. What VGK got for him from the Rangers was reasonable, but then Rangers blew their bank by signing him for $11M/AAV ($77M/7yrs) is nuts.

Just to give you an idea he's 2 season 35 goals scorer with best production 65 pts on a year. McDavid is at $12.5M. MacKinnon $12.6M. Jason Robertson was looking for $14M in Dallas a tax free state and he is an 80pts producer.

We have Suzuki, Caufield and Slafkovsky under 8M and they are likely to produce more than Doromon over here. Unfortunately I means Demidov is possibly going to cost us $11-12M now but one has to thank God that we got all of our core apart Demidov signed in.

We can never bash them for productivity but also one has to question WTF was Chris Drury smoking?

This feels Scott Gomes and Chris Drury $10M/yr by Glenn Sather all over again doesn't it?

SC 2026: Tale of 3 winners and 1 loser

Well the Canes have one the cup.

This was truly an interesting year. Not only for us Habs but also for the Canes and Knights.

Us because none expected us winning round 1. If we had lost, the comments would have been how our progress and development sucked. Had we lost in round 2, the comments would have been we just slightly progressed and there is still beyond being contenders. We lost on round 3, call it fatigue, or simply not being able to change the necessary play style at this point of the adventure. Ultimately we can claim it was a very good season as we survived beyond our expectations.

For the Canes, years of fails finally another cup. Funny enough the last time they won, they again beat us except it was round 1. But years of being that team that couldn't get past round 3. They finally got us in a good spot being relaxing for 2 weeks and finished us off before we can catch our breath. Wasn't the dream team but somehow became the champion needed to be with the evil Knights being on the other side. It's a great win not only for them downing a 20 year curse, for us having the bragging rights of saying we scored the most against them in 1 game and bragging rights in the East but also for NHL as a whole. If they had lost the writing on the wall would be Evil Knights won via last minute season tweaks and therefore long term development not needed just buy yourself in. So good again for Canes to win as it showed us sometimes you just got to stick to your system and just enough luck and you can win the SC.

For Knights, the evil Knights did not win. So the narrative mention above cannot be foretold. But they still won in some ways by being the ones to sweep the team all expected and predicted to win while being arguably the worst ranked of the 4 teams. Guess not touching the conference trophy did not help.

And of course the biggest loser of the SC 2026: Avs. Everyone expected them to win and pretty much everyone wanted them to win. Stat wise they should have won. It was their cup to lose. Yet, they found themselves somehow to lose. Thus ending up being the biggest loser of the 4 conference winners.

Tales of 3 winners and 1 loser. Is there anything to add ?

Am I the only who felt Kishmoto gave us too many unecessary Edo Tensei's in the War arc?

I mean apart the kages and 7 swordsman of Mist of whom he could have played better and the jinchuriki and a few key players like Dan and Asuma was it really necessary to have the additional?

Like none really gave a shit about the Kinkaku Brothers and even in the 7 swordsman of Mist he could have dropped a few by making things like 'these are the strongest version the "7 swordsman of the mist" and have Kisame, Haku and Yagura that would have save at least 3 character there. This could have more developmentfor the surviving summoned.

I don't think RiShin is attacking Kantan

If you look at the map 1. Blue is the RiShin and KyouKai army getting through. Red is MouTen setting defense behind them.

It doesn't make any sense for them to go that deep and attack Kantan. You would not only get noticed by Kantan but also RiBoku can pull all his troop back in the area and charge at them.

I think Hara is fooling us with it actually being map 2. He showed RiShin Army looking at Kantan but they didn't stay there. They moved up north and hitting that city up north instead. By attacking it RiShin will cause more damage to Zhao because it will force RiBoku to break off and be forced to defend North of Kantan and also force all other Zhao forces to chose sides, either go join RiBoku in front of Kantan or go fight RiShin at that city.

So yeah I think RiShin is visually fooling us making us and RiBoku think he is hitting Kantan but in reality he is hitting that northern city and this will surprise RiBoku because he didn't think RiShin would fool him like that.

Let's see if this turns out to be true.

What do you think?

How are these guys Minato's bodyguards?

For context at the time of he Kyuubi Attack 12 years before part 1:

Iwashi Tatami is a Chuunin and would be age 11. Genma Shriranui is a Special Jounin and would be age 18. Radio Namiashi is a Special Jounin and would be age 19.

They would be an year younger at their appointment and all 3 are lower ranked than Hatake Kakashi who is a jounin and aged 14 at the time.

Also Genma was part of Team Choza as a genin, which included Guy and Ebisu.

Now in the manga we only see Genma and Raido. In the anime they added Iwashi there but I am assuming they mistook him for either Ebisu (age 15) or Aoba Yamashiro (age 18), cuz you know it's Studio Perriot.

It still feels like a Kishimoto continuity error.

But still why would Minato pick them when he had Kakashi who was already more qualified then them and his pupil?

Anyone feeling this is one of them glitch where Kishimoto wanted to show off a tech and picked the wrong guys for the job?

I mean why make Genma, Aoba and Raido jounin at start of part 1? Shizune was one. I think in part 2 it is implied that all 3 are jounin but not officially declared because Kishimoto forgot to do so.

Your thoughts?
