Best wick for dipped besswax candles
Hello beautiful people
I started to do Taper candles by the traditional method of dipping the wax. I am using pure beeswax and doind 30cm candle sith 2.2cm diameter
My candles are reallt nice and I love the process of doing them. But I am reallt frustrated about how they burn and th fact that are drilling.
My goal is for it to burn cleanly all the way down with minimal dripping and consume as much of the wax as possible.
I’ve read conflicting advice about square braid vs flat braid wicks, and different sizing recommendations.
For those of you who have actually made successful beeswax tapers:
What wick type are you using? I am based in Europe and I am struggeling to find the best wick for this.
What size/ply has worked best for a 22 mm taper?
Any tips that made the biggest difference?
I’d really appreciate advice based on real-world experience rather than wick charts.
Thanks a lot
