Schools and Transferring

We are looking into buying a house in Carrollton where we have been renting for a while. From everything I’ve seen, Hebron and Creekview are the best schools in the area, with Hebron having the best ratings on GreatSchools (I’m aware of the biases built in) and both having good grades from the state.

In the event that our eventual house is zoned to another school, how easy is it to transfer into the feeders for either of these schools? The district I grew up in does not do open transfers so I have no idea how the process works or if there’s any selection criteria.

2pt Conversions in OT

Somehow in 2 years of playing these games this is my first time encountering this.

I typically just play offense. I just like it more and can get through a game faster. Last night I was in the conference championship game and it went to OT. Once it got to the point where it’s just nonstop 2pt conversions, it simmed the whole thing since I guess it classifies them as special teams instead of offense.

I ended up winning so that’s fine I guess, but there needs to be some distinction between normal 2pt conversions and the mandatory ones so we can choose to play those plays. I hope they fixed that in the new game (or can fix it through an update).

Playcall Substitutions

Am I understanding correctly that this means you can sub a player in for a specific play within the formation instead of having to put him in for every play in that formation? If so, is there an option to do that from the dynasty Home Screen or do you have to do it again in every game?

I was just wishing for something like this the other night in 26. I have 2 stud TEs but one is a much better blocker and the other has 90+ speed. I was having the change packages constantly to get the right guy in there for specific play calls

“Committable” Offers

Really wish the game had some mechanism for a soft scholarship offer or something like that. IRL you hear pretty often that a recruit has an offer from whatever school, but it’s not necessarily a committable offer. As in, the school may not accept the recruit’s commitment.

I understand the game making you offer a scholarship before you can do certain recruiting tasks and giving you a weekly bonus for having offered a scholarship, but I too often end up over-recruiting a position. Say I want to take 1 HS OT, I’ll probably add a few to the board and offer them, then eventually pare it down to 2-3 after a few weeks based on player quality and my recruiting position for them. Then one of them commits, so I remove all points from the others. But at the end of the season, I’m still their top school and they have an offer, so now they’re on my roster and I have to cut other players to make the roster limit. It’s even more pronounced in the portal too because it’s only 4 weeks. I needed a QB so I maxed out a couple and they ended up committing at the same time, so a freshman I was excited about ended up transferring.

TLDR: the game needs a way for you to either be able to “accept” a commitment or different levels of scholarship offers. It would make roster management easier and more realistic.
