DIY T-Shirt
I wanted to make a t-shirt with really silly lyrics for my Gathering outfit! Understandably, no one other than my husband ended up reading it.
Charlotte was sick. Good job Weezer 👍

Shark Fin Quilt
A few months ago, I posted asking for help with a shark fin quilt that I wanted to make. Shout out to u/myneighborturniphead and u/lhollings55 for suggesting appliqué for the fins and a quilt pattern, respectively. I ended up doing a copycat of the Shark Bay pattern by Jamie Siel with appliquéd fins. This is my second quilt and I’m very excited to gift it at the baby shower.

Calling all (or at least one?) drag race historians!
I watched all of drag race during the pandemic, and I don’t remember whether or not the Rusical from season 6 was scrubbed at that point. I know vaguely that Courtney Act and RuPaul aren’t besties, but I don’t know much about why, and this episode of Bald encouraged me to look into it.
I have found that there was a controversy surrounding the female vs. she-male mini challenge in the Rusical episode, and that Courtney spoke out online afterwards, and I guess RuPaul didn’t like that. But how would that have affected Courtney’s edit? Wouldn’t the show have been finalized prior to all of that happening? Or was Ru so pissed that they edited the season to dim Courtney’s shine after the controversy? What is the timeline here?
Thanks!

Hi all! Midlands Gives officially begins tomorrow at 6:00 AM, but early giving has started! I highly encourage you to go support some really wonderful work being done in our community: midlandsgives.org
Tomorrow, I’ll be supporting Carolina Wildlife Center, which has been rehabilitating animals in the Midlands since 1989. They are incredibly busy, especially this time of year! With the never-ending development in our area, the wildlife is being hugely impacted. They could really use your support. Here’s a photo of a recent baby fox intake!
