Need advice for a personal logo

Currently working on my personal logo (I'll use this for my dev website as the favicon etc).

My first name starts with a "F" and my lastname is literally "Ruby". I want to use a ruby/gem stone shape as a dead space in the middle to separate the F and the Y which I want to show as letters. I chose them as they're the first and last letter of my full name.

I think that the idea is pretty good but it lacks execution. I asked my friend what he thought about the logo and he said it looks like a P with a unicorn horn which yeah... I cant unsee now.

I'm not good at graphic design / logo design as you can see so I would appreciate some constructive criticism on how I could make this better, maybe have uniform radi, maybe make it less bold, etc

currently trying to setup secure boot for some anti cheats on windows while booting cachyos using limine as the bootloader.

I'm using sbctl to sign everything but I'm stuck in 'setup mode': enabled. Apparently you cannot manually exit this in the HP bios.

Is there any work around for this or does anyone have any experience runnig Linux + windows with secure boot enabled on an HP Omen MB based PC?

Preferably using Limine but at this point idrc and I'm willing to setup something else as my boot loader.

Thanks a lot

As someone who has used Photoshop for many years I really miss it on Linux. I know Adobe is bad etc BUT I've just grown so accustomed to the UI of it, same with illustrator. Until now I've always dual booted since I was required to use some windows only software by my school anyway but now I dont have to do that anymore so I've gone with Linux, single boot.

I've tried Gimp a few years ago (probably more than 5 years ago at this point) and it was not that great, especially since you had no non destructive editing - I think they have that now though.

Since I've been on Linux I've always just used Photopea for quick edits but now I want something that is not something inside of a browser (I know there are packages to install it "natively" but I want something that was build to be used as a native application instead of a website.)

I've also looked at Affinity and really liked it but had some issues with UI scaling since I'm on a higher resolution monitor and I'm unsure if I want to use it since it's not natively supported for Linux and I'm unsure if I want to go through all the trouble of using a software that was not made for Linux and thus encountering annoying bugs.

Also heard some good things about Inkscape as well but havent tested it yet for myself.

What would software that is Linux native would you recommend for photo editing and graphic design (vector based) for someone who is used to the photoshop/illustrator UI/UX?

Thanks a lot for answering even if I asked such a noobie question :)
