Is there any hope left?

I’ve had two losses in a row and 42 years old. My “LMP” was a chemical on March 21. I ovulated April 6 and conception was April 7, which lines up with the positive pregnancy test on April 14. Should have been 8w1d yesterday based on this but the fetus only measured 4mm with no heart activity. It measured 3mm the week before, which is also concerning. The doctor however said she wasn’t sure if the flickering they had seen then was in fact a heart beat and that things could just be “early” but likely not. Moreover, the gestational sac only grew from 9.7mm on May 6 to 15mm yesterday, May 20. They want me to rescan in a week but I feel like the hope is gone.

Are there are any success stories out there where things have been “off” by two weeks and then caught up? I’ve read them from time to time but it almost always seems that the dates were wrong and someone conceived later than they thought

I really need advice - can a boutique ultrasound mess it up like this?

42 years old with two losses in a row. Should be 8w1d today based on conception date (April 7) with positive pregnancy test on April 14. Saw a 3mm embryo with some heart activity a week ago but today at a private boutique ultrasound, could only see the same size and very weak heart rate (wasn’t measured but eyeballed like 60 bpm) using transvaginal probe. I guess it’s over for me. Any success stories at all? I thought the midwife who did the scan today was not so accurate. We saw the yolk sac for a second but she didn’t even go back to it. Not sure about these measurements. Posting a picture in the comments. Could she have missed it if she didn’t see the yolk sac during the measurements?

I had a miscarriage (chemical) on March 21 and ovulated around April 6-7 based on LH strips and BBT. Only BD on April 5-6 and positive test on April 14. hCG has been increasing appropriately and was 16,648 today when I did the ultrasound. The gestational sac was 10mm but no yolk sac seen. The uterus is anteverted and the sac is located in the fundus. Does anyone have any success stories with similar numbers? The doctor seemed pessimistic

Did anyone have an elongated gestational sac? Mine is 9mm x 3mm (week 5) where the ratio seems to be very bad news. Any success stories?

This is what my radiology report states at 5w2d. My hCG is normal so could be partial molar. Did anyone have this finding and it ended up not being partial molar? I can’t find anywhere that this could be normal. The doctors looked really baffled when they did the scan but didn’t say anything about the cysts and got sent for a formal ultrasound, which gave me this report. Any advice here would be tremendously appreciated. I’m 42.5 years old and just had two prior losses.

FINDINGS:

Uterus: The uterus is anteverted in position. Within the endometrial cavity, there is a thick-walled saclike structure suggestive of a gestational sac.

No internal embryo or yolk sac is identified. The remainder of the endometrium demonstrates cystic change.

MSD: 6 mm

Adnexa:

Right Ovary: A corpus luteum is present on this

Left Ovary: Normal in size and morphology.

There is no free fluid in the pelvis.

IMPRESSION:

There is an intrauterine saclike structure with neither yolk sac nor embryo. This is a probable intrauterine pregnancy.

In addition, there are cystic changes in the surrounding endometrium. Differential includes decidualized endometrium in the setting of a normal pregnancy, however a partial molar pregnancy is not excluded.

Given the unusual appearance of the intrauterine contents, follow-up in 1 week is recommended; of note, this may not be sufficient interval to assess embryonic viability, however would be useful in evaluating the endometrium.
