Hey, before I start, I just want to say I apologize if this whole thing feels ranty or dumb. I tend to get worked up over things that appear small or insignificant to people, and it doesn't help that I'm in a vulnerable spot right now. I hope this doesn't get taken down by moderators, but I wouldn't be surprised since this is definitely different from every other post on here.
I've been having to go through a lot over the past couple of years I don't want to go into detail in a Reddit post, but I've had to deal with trauma, abuse, and other stuff. Thankfully, I've been going pretty okay. I haven't had really bad thoughts (you know the ones I'm talking about) in a long time.
One thing that was growing on me was my mental health issues and loneliness. Not having a family or loved one in any sense really started to take a toll on me, no matter how hard I tried to stay afloat.
Then, one day, I decided to play Umamusume. This was really strange for me, since I usually don't consume anime of any kind.
As I did, my mental health started to really improve. I felt so much better, because so many trainees' stories were written to seem like they loved and really cared about you. I know it's pathetic, but compared to not receiving any warmth at all, this was a *lot*. I always tried to distance myself, of course, because nothing could ever replace interactions with a real, physical person. But this was a good step.
I stayed away from Umamusume that felt like little children (i.e. Urara and Mayano Top Gun). I felt okay with the others that weren't child-coded because, as far as I knew, the game took place in high school and their ages otherwise were left up to interpretation. I assumed this put them in the upper high school, which would have left them the same age as me.
My issue now is that apparently a lot of Umamusume are listed as in the Junior and Senior divisions, and according to the in-game guides this is supposed to be middle-school and high-school respectively. And that really stresses me out, that what I'm so attached to — even ones like Daiwa Scarlet and Nice Nature — are apparently a bunch of middle schoolers??
Now, I know that a really big argument most people have is that the ages are fully up to interpretation, and this shouldn't be taken too seriously. But I don't know how to get past it when this part about divisions seems so concrete. Could someone help me here? I often need to seriously convince myself to accept things, so I'd need some clear reasoning or some validation that I can come back to read if I worry about it further. That is, if that validation is even deserved.
I'm really sorry for the rant. I'm sorry for getting worked up over some fictional characters. I tend to get embarrassed over vulnerable posts like these, so I might delete this post later.

Hello all,
Now that Tsar and Soviets is releasing tomorrow, I wanted to ask a question about update scheduling. How long after the initial release should I expect a hotfix/patch that breaks save files? I usually end up spreading my TNO playthroughs over a couple weeks due to limited time + wanting to savor the experience. I'd rather not have my playthrough be broken by an update, so I'd like to be able to prepare in advance and start playing when it's safer for me to do so.
Hello,
I've been playing KX more and more and have been really enjoying the mod :D
I noticed a lot of posts about North American indigenous paths, and wanted to ask: are there any indigenous Mesoamerican civilization paths? I've been interested in the Aztecs recently and thought it would be fun to play as them in the mod!
