Every time I use an ACOG (which is all the time), I wish I could mount it closer to my face to get better eye relief. IRL, both COGs, 4x TA31 and 3.5x, are known for their wide FOVs, akin to what you’d see with the LPVOs in this game.

COD actually allows you to move them around in a few of their new games (eye relief adjustment being in cod is crazy in and of itself). The least Dice could do it nudge it back a few notches on the picatinny.

Yes, the second IRL pic is zoomed in a bit much. I don’t want it to look like that in game. Pic 2 is most representative to what you see bifocally (I’ve looked through one). For balancing and gameplay, yeah, they don’t need to make it huge. Just give us a little more glass. Yes, the tism made me make this post.

The 3.5x has an awesome reticle but it looks tiny on screen. Edit: I thought pic 4 was the 3.5x irl, but it’s just another TA31. It’s late.

“The Wonders of a Walmart Bike” circa 2017 (7th grade)

My buddy and I were so hyped up from Danny Macaskill’s redbull edits that we decided to film one ourselves. I’m the videographer, he’s the rider. We were dicking around with an old Walmart bike on our friend’s property. He’s in the marines now, about to finish his enlistment. Time flies.

We don’t ride much anymore, but man, MTB was my life back then. I need to get back on the saddle.

Why do most of the maps in BF6 have such harsh mid-day lighting? It’s ugly and gives us the worst of both worlds: super dark shadows and super bright highlights. Is it realistic? Sure. But the engine doesn’t represent it well. Empire, Eastwood, manhattan bridge, contaminated, and firestorm all have this problem.

I can respect that they tried to make a sunset map out of Blackwell, but damn, it looks like shit. They also added the breaking bad piss filter onto Eastwood. It sucks. Makes the map just look like piss and cyan, everything blends in together. Contaminated is decent, but again, a lackluster mid-day skybox. The map looks flat and grainy. It also has warzone foliage, which is a huge step back from BF4, BF1, and BFV.

The maps are lacking atmosphere. The lighting of Manhattan Bridge looks like what you’d see in a UE5 asset flip. The prettiest maps in BF6 are Liberation Peak and Mirak IMO. These maps actually have some dark clouds in the sky and the sun isn’t directly overhead. It’s dramatic and gives you a sense of place — it really feels like you’re in the Pamir mountains.

Maybe the engine has a hard time of diffusing shadows? Idk. Some of the maps feel like they have portal/battle royale lighting if that makes sense. I’d love to see them rework the lighting/color grading sometime in the future.
