Home cooked roasts / christmas dinners

My last 2 years of Christmas dinners / roasts always with all the trimmings, we struggle with big portions in this household, sometimes hard to see what's all giing on under there 😅

Favourite films in the Shrek franchise?

Watched Puss in Boots the Last Wish Last night, probably my second favourite film after Shrek 2. What are your Shrek franchise ranked favourite movies in order?

Is this interaction strange?

I sent a layered necklace, costume jewellery was made of metal links. It's pretty robust had it for years and not delicate. I got alot of offers and likes on the item and it sold quite quickly. There was a small glue dot I pointed out on one of the beads, it was just a blemish not a mark from a previous repair, item was perfectly intact when I sent, I'm 1000% sure.

I packaged it inside 2-3 small plastic bags as cushioning, popped these inside a folded paper bag and put this inside a polymailer. There were about 4 layers so the necklace could not be felt, bent etc to protect and cushion the item.

Buyer reported item arrived damaged, requests a full refund. Pictures are taken outside at a washing line in an alley. I thought this was strange because if something arrived damaged I would photograph it straight away and with packaging not take it outside but it's been sunny so dismissed it. They also had really long acrylic nails.

I asked if they had any photos of the packaging to check if it was damaged in transit they said no, they can't remember (again strange as it's only been a day) but they think it was unaffected and said I must have packed it damaged and the glue dot points to a previous repair - not the case. The picture she showed looks like it had to have had tension applied or was cut or pulled.

It looked broken in 3 places but they had the item unclasped and when I questioned if this was to make the item look "more broken" they said "it could be broken in more places, I'm not sure the necklace confused me when I opened it". If there was a possibility of me packaging it broken I would accept that but I really can't see this being the case, it doesnt sound damaged in transit either by their admission.

It's a multi layered necklace, what I think happened was, they cut it or were frustrated with the layers of packaging or it got caught in their nails and broke the item on arrival or it got snagged on something e.g the holes in the washing basket in frame they must have been carrying and out of disappointment are trying a refund but I have a broken item that can't be returned or resold and am just out as a result. It's only a couple pounds but the interaction has been strange to me.

I know Vinted will probably side with the buyer and as I said it's not an expensive item so if it happens that's fine but it's frustrating if it's not a genuine report.

I just dont understand

  1. Why they dont have the packaging to photograph?

  2. Why they dont remember the packaging from 1 day ago?

  3. Why the photos are outside in an alley at a washing line if it arrived broken, why walk it outside and handle it and not show the packaging it arrived in if inadequate ?

  4. How they don't know how it is broken and in how many places, surely you would inspect the item and be sure?

  5. Why they have said they necklace confused them when they opened it, the item is exactly as listed?

I'm probably overthinking this but I find Vinted as been quite slow lately and then for small sales having to follow up, it just isn't worth the time e.g when parcels arent collected and returned but that's a different issue, it's kind of ruining it for me.

Failing to collect to get an option to opt out for a full refund is a scam

Getting sick of people abusing the deliver to post office option then failing to collect the items and then getting sent back. A few buyers use this as a loophole to return for change of mind. I had over 100 likes on an item, for it to sit at post office for 20 days and can take same again to reach me. Item out of my hands for over a month, buyer will get full refund. Waste of everyone's time. Wasted carbon footprint. I sent messages to the buyer, the read every message and didnt respond. They knew what they were doing and can't leave feedback so this continues to happen.
