Cannot withdraw cash in Europe

Has this happened to anyone?

So, I am in Europe and I cannot get cash out at any ATM.

I have tried several ATM's in multiple countries, including hole in the wall and actual bank ATM's.

I called CBA and they checked my card and said there should be no issues, as there are no blocks on my card at all. I was transferred to the fraud team and the card team, and the answer was always the same. No issues from their end.

I have checked the app and made sure that international transactions are allowed and all those things.

I am able to tap and use my card to pay for things - no issues. But I cannot get cash out.

Has anyone else had this problem? I just have a normal transaction account with a yellow MasterCard debit card.

As the largest bank in Australia, this is absolutely fucked. Luckily I have friends with me who I was able to transfer money to and they got cash out for me. But imagine if I wasn't with them?!

It's 2026... Why can't I get cash out overseas?!

I will be changing banks when I return home.

Travelling to Europe. What skin care should I try when I'm there?

Heya!

As the title says, I am travelling to Europe in July/August this year and I am wondering what skin care, make up, hair care etc. I should check out or buy while I'm there?

Specifically, products that are unavailable in Australia or products that are sooo much cheaper in Europe than Australia.

Also, what stores should I be going to look in that sell skincare, hair care and beauty?

I am not made of money, so I'm not looking for excessively expensive items. Chemist pricing equivalent is ideal. But would be willing to splurge a little for something amazing and impossible to get in Australia.

For reference, I am travelling to London, Berlin, Mallorca and Glasgow.

Skin type: fair skin. Combination with dry patches at times. Acne & congestion prone. I am 41 years old, so am showing signs of aging with fine lines etc.

Any and all suggestions and tips welcome.

Thank you!! x
