Please recommend a razor (legs)
I've tried several of the Venus ones and, more recently, the Billie Malibu razor. I'm feeling super underwhelmed by the Billie one so would like to know what else everyone is using?

Hello everyone, has anyone tried this brand yet?? They only have 800 followers so this may be too niche. But they appear to be an ethical Australian company and they post a lot of ads about their products being miles better than vaso/pawpaw/laroachpussy/cerave
I have eczema so I’m very tempted by this product but I’m hesitant due to the price…
Has anyone tried?? Thoughts??
Hi everyone,
I suspect i somehow have developed a boil in my groin area (im a woman).
Does anyone have any suggestions on a remedy? I have put a bandaid on it for when im out and about, and at home i put my heat pack on it but it hasn't gone down at all. Before i even bothered to search anything about it on google i just thought it was a pimple and tried popping it and then i saw google said not to do that 😭
Do i need to see a gyno? Or is there a otc cream or something?
Thanks!
My tween has pretty bad KP. I don't think, from our conversations, that it bothers her and I don't want to make her feel like she needs to "fix" her beautiful body. She's also coming into the trickier teen years though so I want to be prepared.
Is KP something that needs to be treated? Is it harder to treat later if you don't try and stay on top of it? Does it get worse?
If it does need treating what is suitable for young skin? I was looking at the Cetaphil Gentle SA lotion.
I have had a look at other posts but most seem to focus on adult skin.
I don't want to be the parent who didn't help their kid cos they felt the treatment was only for older people and I don't want to be the parent who made their kid feel like they needed fixing!
The discussion question (so this isn't just a routine help question) is:
Does KP actually need treating if it doesn't bother you?
Hi,
I’m curious how other Australians who intentionally maintain a very fair complexion go about it, especially given how strong the sun is here.
(Please note: This is purely a personal aesthetic preference for myself—I think all skin tones are beautiful, I’m just curious about the routines of people who intentionally maintain very fair skin.)
For those of you who like staying pale rather than tanning:
What’s your routine?
Do you rely mostly on sunscreen, UPF clothing and avoiding the sun, or do you do anything else?
Have you found your skin became noticeably lighter over time after consistently avoiding sun exposure?
Are there any skincare products you swear by?
I already wear sunscreen, moisturise, wear long sleeves and pants and avoid the sun where I can (I’m also photosensitive), but I’m interested in hearing what has worked for other people rather than just looking for advice for myself.
I’d love to hear what everyone’s routine is!
I’m a bit late to the party but have just discovered Lila beauty.. what products / brands are the go to?!
I use the ordinary, but looking to change it up!
I’m nearly 30, so anything anti-aging. My skin can be sensitive & is combo (maybe more on the dry side if anything)
TIA 🥰
Hi everyone! Hoping to get to advice please. Apologies if I’m posting in the wrong place, I tried searching the sub for hairline acne and couldn’t find any posts related to that so hopefully it’s okay I post this.
25 year old woman, never really dealt with acne until this year. Throughout my life I’ve only ever gotten the odd whitehead when I had slept in my makeup during high school and even that was very rare.
About 5 months ago, I had a pretty bad infection (not skin related) which caused an immune response of eczema and severe skin sensitivity all over my body. The eczema was fine, I’ve had that skin condition my entire life and I manage it to where it’s basically nonexistent these days. But the skin sensitivity or reactivity (?) has been next level.
My face started producing excess sebum so I had loads of sebaceous filaments on my forehead and nose, and I started getting those really deep, painful, red bumps on my forehead and hairline. Thankfully I’ve managed to mostly control the sebaceous filaments and the forehead acne has stopped but I cannot control the hairline acne (specifically either side of my forehead and the edge of the cheekbone area if that makes sense?)
What I’ve been doing:
- I wash my hair every 3 days so the oils from my hair aren’t finding their way onto my face.
- When applying hair products, i apply at least 1 inch from the hairline.
- When applying skincare, I don’t go anywhere near my hairline.
- I change my pillowcase at least every 2-3 days, I also use silk pillowcases.
- I cleanse my face as soon as I wake up and about 1 hour before bed in the evening to allow skincare to soak in.
- I cleanse my hairline twice daily and ensure cleanser is completely washed off.
Current products my skin can handle without breakouts (as in doesn’t bring the deep forehead acne out):
- CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser
- Beauty of Joseon Rice Water Sunscreen (the cream packaging)
- Cetaphil Hydrating Moisturiser
- Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant (every 3rd night)
Products I’ve tried but my skin won’t tolerate them even though I used them prior to the reaction:
- TO niacinamide serum
- Basically any type of vitamin C (I’ve tried so many brands and every time, I end up with deep painful lumps all over my forehead)
Just want to preface this by saying I don’t believe my skin barrier is compromised since my skin feels hydrated and plump, it’s not tight or sore or itchy or burning. No products cause any kind of discomfort, it’s just the deep painful acne that I can’t seem to shake. I also had my hormones tested and everything was completely normal other than my testosterone being a little low due to birth control. I skip my period for a year at a time due to a medical condition so I doubt it’s hormonal acne but I don’t know.
PLEASE give me advice on what else I could be doing to combat the hairline acne, it’s so annoying and painful!
So I tried this for the first time a few days ago on recommendation as a cheaper and MUCH better alternative to Rhode Glazing milk and my god it delivered in every way. I use retinoids, am 31 and have some small fine lines and some dryness from the retinoid use. This stuff is actually magic. It makes my skin SO PLUMP and soft and moisturised. It makes the Glazing Milk look AWFUL in comparison!!
This, with Avene Cicalfate cream over the top and my god chefs kiss.
Please do yourself a favour and buy a bottle. $25 on Amazon. It’s freaking brilliant. I will forever buy a bottle from now on - you’ll have to pry it from my hands!
I need help getting my wife a gift. She wants a red light mask, but the brief look I did online... well, it looks like there can be lots of poor quality scams out there.
What are the actual options in Australia?
Thanks for the help.
Edit: budget: max 1k
I'm interested in purchasing an at home device to help me with lymphatic drainage. By that I don't mean gua sha, I mean something that is plugged in and charged and you swipe it over your face and then go "OMG, that's amazing!" like i see in all those influencer vids on insta.
I've tried gua sha and I'm super shit at it. I just want something that helps me depuff, is soothing, maybe gives me a bit of sculpting lift for a few hours. I don't think I want to dive in RF or microcurrent devices, but I'm pretty open to any discussion on the topic.
If you're using an at home device, what is it, do you love it or hate it, and how much did cost?
I have run out and cant find it anywhere including Priceline website.
Or has anyone got any recommendations for something similar for my Perimenopause dry skin?
Did anyone else go a bit crazy during the Lila Beauty EOFY sale and now the July one? Things I bought:
Topping up:
Skin1004 water fit sunscreens
Aestura 365 (which I use as my face moisturiser)
Illiyoon top to toe wash (for hair and body)
Illiyoon Ato (for body)
Dr Althea pure grinding balm
Round Lab Dokdo cleanser
New things I’m trying (new for me):
Romand glasting lip balm
Cosrx peptide eye patches
BOJ revive eye serum
Clio prism highlighter
Just need to know I wasn’t the only one 😂🙏🏻 please let me know if you’ve tried the new stuff and what you think!
Edit: guys… I feel so seen. Hope everyone enjoys their purchases. Please update me if you want here on anything new you’ve tried hehe 🙏🏻
Used a retinol product for the first time in 3 years. First couple of times was fine but now I'm all red, swollen and rashy. Hoping it will go down after a day or two but I honestly thought if I was going to react it would've happened after the first go!!! I might've gone a bit ham on the third go as a result 😂
It was a 1% retinol 🫠
I previously purchased through adore beauty and Mecca online but this was a few years ago. I haven't done anything much for skin care in 3 years and paying for it now. I'm looking for a few different products and like browsing online and checking reviews. Any recommendations of good sites that have a good range with different price points?
Does anyone know any participating pharmacies? I’ve called several and no luck. Preferably inner north Melbourne.
Let me know your favourites!! I have super dry skin and i wanna see what you guys love the most :) I’m talking so hydrating you hardly even need to drink water 😅
Just an FYI - I been burnt & had a severe reaction to Cancer Council Kids 50+ sunscreen. Face red/purple, radiating heat, itch lasting 4 days. Second time it's happened - the reaction is delayed & I didn't realise the cause the first time around.
My pharmacist suspects a reaction to camphor (4-methylbenzylidene camphor) and told me to lodge a complaint with the company & TGA as they're currently reviewing this product. Others have had this reaction too.
Other people might not have a reaction to this but thought I might do a quick post as the reaction is delayed - I had no clue what was happening the first time around.
**NOTE: I understand there's other problems associated with this ingredient but my post is only about my physical reaction & not trying to lay blame.**
I'm 32F and have had mild-moderate facial acne my whole adult life (several blackheads and pimples at any given time, and just bumpy, dull skin, prone to blocked pores). Skin tends to be on the oily side. It's been so hard to find the right products and routine for my skin. But now I'm finally seeing improvements. This is what I'm doing that I think is helping and just wanted to share:
Morning:
- Cleanse with the Ordinary glucoside foaming cleanser
- Apply the Ordinary niacinamide + zinc serum
- Apply QV oil-free facial moisturiser
- Apply SPF if going outside (I've been using QV facial SPF 30, but not entirely happy with how greasy it is)
Evening:
- Cleanse with the Ordinary glucoside foaming cleanser
- Apply either the Ordinary Azelaic acid 10% OR Bubble salicylic acid serum (alternate nights)
- Apply QV oil-free facial moisturiser
PLUS healthy diet, multivitamin, staying hydrated, and avoiding wearing foundation.
went to costco today to grab a few things and I had to check out the skincare aisle. I was planning to stock up on the torriden serum bc it's one of my HGs but I think they were already out of stock :( lol
