I received this euphorbia from a friend who got it from a friend who got it from a collection of someone who passed away. The friend of a friend said it's monstrous horrida but they weren't sure and I wanted to see what y'all thought. Any ideas?

Massachusetts cactus and succulent show - Sept 12

I've brought plants to show for the last few years and will have a table this year to sell for the first time.

Highly recommended to check it out. Even if you're not deep in the hobby it's fun to see old, well grown plants and there's usually a good variety of plants and plant related stuff for sale.

PSA: Build a Soil distributes pumice nationally

I live in New England where pumice was basically unsourceable locally. Build A Soil has a pretty robust national distribution network now and supplies pumice to grow shops. I need to drive an hour but $18/cu ft in Massachusetts is infinitely better than $35-50/cu ft I paid on Amazon for a while. You can also arrange a half or full pallet if you're friendly with the shop owner. It's little hassle for them to add that to their existing delivery from BaS so worth asking if they stock their stuff just not the pumice.

I'm unaffiliated with the company and frankly have talked some shit about them in the past but they've got a good thing going.

Variegated Ferobergia

I believe this is the first time these are being sold on Reddit.

Ferobergia are a cross between two genera - leuchenbergia and ferocactus. These are F1 meaning the direct offspring from that cross. Everything is on its own roots. I'm not aware of the species of the ferocactus parent. These four are variegated so may be more delicate in the long term than the four non variegates I recently posted.

I imported these last fall and have been establishing them since. They're actively growing and acclimated to partial shade (or strong grow lights probably if indoors).

Currently in 3.5" pots.

Asking $75 each + 🚢 (~$8?)
