does AROBTTH sound different on spotify to anyone else?

maybe it’s just me, but i was listening to A Rush of Blood to the Head yesterday and the mixing of the album (particularly on Politik and The Scientist) kinda sounded a bit different than it used to? Politik especially sounded like it was almost in a slightly different key. i got new earbuds recently and haven’t noticed many other songs/albums that sounded that different, just little details in the background of other songs i hadn’t picked up on with my old ones, but for some reason this album felt like it had been updated at some point recently. has anyone else noticed this, or are my ears lying to me?

why are all the guys on here asking about their looks just clones of each other

i'm gonna make it clear right off the bat: i'm not a fan of Clav. every time i see him i think he just looks average as hell, there's nothing special about him regarding his looks and his personality is especially boring as hell. none of the clips i've seen of him are even remotely entertaining so idk why people even watch him. but i got curious and started scrolling through this sub after seeing the pic of him in a wheelchair and...why does every guy posting their face on here look *exactly* like him?? it's almost to the point where it's uncanny lol.

as a bisexual guy you're all like 6-7/10, at least when it comes to my personal preferences. but you shouldn't take what i'm saying (or what *anyone* here says) seriously. there's nothing wrong with wanting to improve yourself and feel good about how you look. but asking other people what *they* think, and trying to get attention by asking strangers online what you should change about yourself isn't necessary. all that matters is your own feelings. fuck what other people say.

Happy Pride Month, Hootowls!!!♥️🧡💛💚💙💜

i just want to spread some love here in this community for all the queer/trans Owl City fans there are out there!! i met some of my closest friends in the world i met through a small Hootowl group chat on twitter 10 whole years ago back in 2016, many of whom i still talk to a decade later and are all part of the LGBTQ+ community in some way.

i’ve seen some discussion here recently on the sub that included some…negative comments towards the LGBTQ+ community, as well as assumptions about Adam’s core beliefs that i thought were unfair. i think the whole purpose of Owl City as a project is for people to spread love and positivity through Adam’s music, as well as being seen through the many ways there are to interpret his lyrics. not all people may agree with each other or even have similar views at all, but there is one thing that brings us all here together: our love for Owl City. and that includes people (like myself) who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community.

my purpose here isn’t to start arguments or any negative discussions, but to show support towards other queer OC fans!! if you have anything negative to say, please just keep scrolling. i want this thread to be a place for positivity, not political discourse (especially because people’s identities and rights shouldn’t be seen as political!!)

for those here who are queer or trans: what are some lyrics that make you feel seen or that you relate to in some way? i’d love to know!!
