Anybody hear gunshots just now?
Heard some loud bangs in the Omaha area.

Ive been eyeing the basic orange H08 at Hermes for a while (since I gotta prespend for a birkin anyway). I know Hermes isn’t a household name in terms of watches but they’ve been doing some cool stuff and making some big efforts to break into the watch market in a bigger way.
They ended up having a watch event this past weekend and I was out of town and sent my wife to get the orange dial/orange band watch. They showed her a bunch and she was so impressed with the new skeletonized H08 model that she ended up getting this one instead.
This is my first skeletonized watch and I gotta say I’m genuinely impressed with how cool it is.
She did good with this choice given that I didn’t ask for it. She earned that Birkin for sure.
I just moved to Omaha and am appalled by how long it takes to drive east to west through the city. Omaha is only like 20 miles from the Missouri to Elkhorn river. it shouldn’t take 40 minutes to traverse it.
Why the fuck does dodge turn into a regular road with stop lights? If they need stoplights then why the fuck can’t they at least time the lights so you don’t hit every single light? I understand these road designs pre-date the modern world but can the city not hire some engineers to figure out the most efficient way to optimize traffic flow?
It’s literally not even a matter of traffic. Even when there are no cars it is slow as fuck.
I know this is not something that would ever get fixed, but it’s just such a shame. There is SO MICH space in this city. they can make it really efficient and convenient if they want. Im coming from a city of 3 million that is way way more crowded in terms of land use, but is nonetheless way more efficient; the city is cross crossed by highways (actual highways without fucking stoplights) and, barring an accident or actual traffic, if I’m 20 miles away from something I know it’ll take me about 25 minutes to get there. It makes zero sense that Omaha can’t do something similar.
